Round 4

Nick says he'd like to get some money to do up his mum's house.

6 - Chris - £100,000

19 - David - £250,000 :(

Noel says Nick could go in the hall of fame for taking out the top 3 in one round.

11 - Carlos - £250

Banker time

Noel says that's actually not a bad 8-box. The banker talks about Nick's dream, and he says he's no Martin Luther King, and that he wants him to "burger off". :P

Banker's offer:

£15,000

With just only two blues still in play, including the offer on the board, and three higher, very worth going on.

What a weak joke... :eyes: :eyes: :eyes: :eyes: :eyes:

Half the previous offer, I see... but I'd go on.

Noel says that's a good result. Mathew says he's had his bad luck, and the game can be turned around now, and the next offer could be in the £20ks if he has a good round. Lynn says it's difficult to think of him winning a low amount now, and David says it's still a strong board.

Nick says

NO DEAL

I'd have taken that - not much upside potential with the offer already past 70% of the mean.

He's probably committed to 2-box thanks to getting a pre-ADP £30k.

Felt like the forum had a bit of a wobble there... :eyes:

This next round had better be good.

£15k is not bad at all considering he took out £350k in one round. Normally the Banker would halve the offer for just the £250k.

Noel calls a break...

We're back

Round 5

Noel says Nick's game has taken a bit of a blow.

15 - Damien - £20,000

18 - Keith - £1

5 - Alma - £15,000

Banker time

Not had this for a while.... with just ONE blue still in play, and two of the power five, including two other reds very worth going on.

Hopefully he will see that he has more chance of a red being in the box.

The banker says hitting that blue was very good news for Nick.

Banker's offer:

£22,000

Uh-oh...

Considering it's now an absolute two-box game, that's not a bad offer at all. :eyes:

Nick says that's a really good offer. Sidney tells Nick to think about what the money means to him, and Nick says he'd definitely have gone on if he'd had the £250k still there. Nick asks his sister, who says she'd be tempted to go on, but he's got to do what he wants to do. Imani tells him to think about it really carefully. Nick does a sweep and it's a mix of deals and no deals. Laura says he has to be prepared to go to the end if he goes on now.

Nick says

DEAL

Thought he might take that. :eyes:

There may be four reds there - but two of them are considerably lower... :eyes: ;)

OH DEAR... OH DEAR... OH DEAR...
OH DEAR... OH DEAR... OH DEAR...
OH DEAR... OH DEAR... OH DEAR...

Should have been a LOT more brave.

Someone should have told him that with just ONE blue and four reds at five box, more chance of a red being in the box. Then more than likely he would have gone all the way.
