Peter's game today.

Noel wishes everyone a happy new year again, and he talks about Jacques' game yesterday, and how it had 3 classic elements - a clever offer, a red/blue climax, and a swap.

Peter is a self-employed gardener, and he has his wife and daughter in the audience. He has one photo with him which is a pic of his wife and daughter in the 1970s. Peter says he got into gardening when he wanted to leave school, and he'd had a little gardening patch when he was a child. He says he's never looked back since starting doing gardening as a job.

The banker says he likes growing certain things, but normally stocks and bonds. He says it was James' birthday yesterday, and he knows because he saw Jodi in the hotel buying James a drink, but her card was declined and he had to pay for it! The banker wants to know if Peter has brought his Big Issue!

Noel says Peter wants to win money to improve his fuchsia. Noel apologises to Peter for the welcome he got when he was a newbie, as security threw him out as they thought he was a tramp! Peter says he feels wronged because he didn't get to open his box in that show and Shakira opened it!

The banker says he feels for Peter because he got thrown out on his first show. He says as Peter never opened his box in his first show, he can open a box in the next round.

Noel says the banker claimed to have doubled the offer, but it'd be £4,001 if it'd been doubled. Noel says Peter's missed out on £1, and Peter explains to Noel that actually he's missed out on 50p, and Noel explains that it's £1! Peter then says he was never good at school!

Round 3

Noel says no-one's ever been able to open a box during their own game before. Peter then says this could cause problems, because someone's going to miss out on opening a box today, and it'll have a knock-on effect!

And if only Amy-Jo had played today, I think she'll be the longest runner now Peter will have gone. (Sorry for turning into Mark)
