We're back

Round 5 - proveout

Noel says Elaine is showing signs of uncertainty over her deal.

22 - Gail - £10

2 - Angela - £500

19 - Shakeel - £15,000

Noel says that's no good.

The banker gloats about how right he got the offer.

Banker's offer would've been:

£38,000

Went one round too soon. Hopefully if she had found one of the two out of three within the lamp, and done one box at a time, she would have gone on for at least one more and didn't do what Phil did.

Enid comes from the audience to congratulate Elaine.

Elaine has £5,000 in her box 9.

Box 18 with Adam contains the £50

Noel says he liked this game because Elaine left us in no doubt about how much the money means to her.

I thought the 11-box offer was better, but kudos to Elaine for not letting the twist drag her onwards on a dangerous board when I doubt she'd have taken a crash well. Nowhere near the worst decision of the month, and a see-saw proveout that - like yesterday - left something for both sides.

I'm actually quite pleased to see someone not get dragged into the twist, and make a decision they wanted rather than one that suited the twist. Not too bad. Hopefully, we'll see more of the twist in the coming games.

OH DEAR... OH DEAR... OH DEAR...

The Banker should have offered a LOT less than £19k!!!!!

Then we wouldn't have had YET ANOTHER deal before the 5-box twist!!!!!!!!!   ;)

Instead, we get another rather damp game IMHO... :? :?

Hopefully tomorrow's game won't go the same way. ;)

Why? If she had done that, she would've crashed.

spot on. What a boring game overall. I have to say at 5 box I was gunning for the dream finish as it would have knocked her for six. The relief on her face at the reveal of the £100k was like turning on a light switch.

The only highlight was Enid/Edna? and her pitch invasion at the end. That was hilarious :smt047

If the Banker has to keep ringing before starting the game to explain the lamp, I'm switching the channel until he shuts up because WE KNOW ALREADY! :x
I also find it annoying when Noel points it out at 11 & 8-box everytime.

Name a gameshow that doesn't explain the rules of the game every show? Not every viewer watches every day.

A cautious deal but I think even had she hit one of the top 2 from 8-box to 5-box, with a 2/3 chance of 1-box at a time, it was probably worth the risk. £38k was about right but it does beg the question what the offer would have been at 5-box had she taken the 1-box at a time twist.

Certainly a game of extreme rounds - the 1 in 364 perfect round from 14-box, almost the nightmare round at 8-box and then the perfect round at 5-box.

Hmmm In normally gameplay that would have been a premature deal but i have a feeling if Elaine had gone to 5 box she might have found it very hard to avoid a crash, be it through the temptation of one box at a time or the Banker getting to see inside her box. Of course the specials are built so much around the 5 box twist that it's hard not to think of an 8 box deal as an anti-climax but kudos to Elaine for going when she was ready

Yes, well done to Elaine for ignoring the twist as she probably would have ended up crashing. I think with three to open, £38,000 would have been a deal for me, but if I'd got the one-box-at-a-time twist, I probably would have played on.
