£16k??!?!??!?!?!

Well, maybe the Banker does know that the lowest weekly payout is possible... :? ;)

Can understand why Tristan is thinking hard about the 16k offer. Where did that come from? There is only one number of the board higher than that - if he gets rid of the 250k he'll never get an offer like that again.

Tristan is shocked with that offer, as he says he took out some big numbers and there is a big gap in the board, he was expecting half of that money. He says the Banker is making it hard for him now, as if it was lower he would be playing on. Tristan says he has roughly that offer on his credit cards and that is about £360 month payment on them. Tristan weighs up the board.

Tristan says

DEAL

Hard choice with just a one box game, but was worth another round.

If he doesn't take the QM out next round, I can imagine the next proveout offer will be around the Governor range. It's only a really bad decision if he hits the 25% chance of keeping the QM in play till 2-box (which knowing this week's luck, he probably will do now)

I still wonder if the Banker knew that the lowest weekly payout was on when he offered that £16k... :suspect: ;)

Why not? If he had offered less, then Tristan would have probably had to go to the end... and also Elvis's game, as well as David's, would have still been very fresh in Tristan's mind... ;) ;) ;)

Thinking about it during the break, I've got to agree with Tristan on that one and deal. Hard decision with the 250k still there, but he's got a decent sum of money on what was a weak board (a lot weaker than David had).

Second game in a row with just one blue and four reds at five box.

Hopefully if he was still in live play, he would have done what David did and carry on.

We're back

Round 5 - Proveout round

22 - £750 Shakira

You don't want 2 more of those says Noel.

2 - 50p Elaine

Oh no says Tristan. The Banker calls and says that if this is a blue the offer would be £43,000

11 - £5,000 Lavinne

Banker time

The Banker asks if we would mind if he felt a big smug.

Banker's offer would've been:

£35,000

35k - way too high. Even the guv'nor would be high on that board.

Well, whatever it would have really been, he'd have probably still dealt. ;)

It's going to be one of those weeks isn't it. The only sensible deal of the week is punished.

Nope, thank goodness.

Phew, the last box in that round blew the game apart.... just one round too early.

Banker's offer would've been:

Box 19 with Sarah contains the £1,000

Tristan says that will pay off his credit cards and it works out as a holiday every 3 months.
