Wayne says that it is a good offer for the board. Noel says that it is a classic Deal dilemma now, as do you take a lower offer and go home with something, or do you take the risk and play on. Noel goes along the wings and asks the contestants what they would do. Wayne's mum tells him to play on and go for it. Wayne asks for the question, but the Banker calls and asks Wayne to make a mental image of his wife and children in a broken down people carrier at the side of the road on a cold dark December night.

Wayne says

NO DEAL

Well, that was a bit of a letdown after yesterday. :( At least he got a reasonable sum out of it.

What the Banker did there was completely OUT OF ORDER!
If that were me, I'd have taken the phone off Noel and yelled "**** off" at the Banker. Though I'd probably be thrown out! :P

Anyway, £1,000 is not bad. At least Wayne got a red.

Spooky, second game in a row where he had box 9 and same amount as yesterday, £1,000.

I'd definitely do that if it was certain I was going to win peanuts. If you're going to win £1,000 then I wouldn't want to lose that by getting chucked out! :)

Obviously an incredibly disappointing game, but these are the kind of drawbacks I don't mind seeing as much. When it's obvious that the game is going nowhere early on, as opposed to to later on in the game, it's easier to appreciate the player and enjoy the banter. Wayne certainly did that today, although his circumstances did unfortunately provide a couple of tricky decisions.

Regardless, I don't think £3,000 is exactly the sum of money you'll be devastated to miss out on. He got a third of that anyway, so I imagine he won't be too bothered for going to the end. Just one of those games really.

Not a lot you can say about that. The Boxes just were not kind. With hindsight (people use it when big money stays till the end so why can't i?) perhaps Wayne should have taken the £6k offer at 8 box but the amounts involved were never really large enough for him to have major regrets

With the power of hindsight, you gotta wonder why he didn't take the £9,000 first offer really.

GAWD HE'S SO STOOPID!

Tough one for Wayne today. From the moment the top 3 went in one round it always had the feeling of slipping away. He was a nice bloke, though, and I'm glad he got the 1k.

Should have dealt the first offer, then he would have won the game. :P

All the way to the end for me too, almost unavoidable.

Didn't see today's game (been busy this evening and I'm away this weekend in the home of DOND - might even get to see the original version on Sunday evening) but it seemed my classic 2-box game at 8-box (counting £10k as disposable) and the offer was high enough for me to have taken it (especially when the 5-box offer was close to my benchmark of 50% of the average)
