Sound, albeit slightly risky, Banker play. He figured that a decent £10k offer would not be taken after the early rounds, so kept some powder dry for a 5-box offer that may now look better in comparison.

Poor offer. May as well go on. I was expecting at least £13,000.

Syrita says that she doesn't want to go home with 10p. The Banker calls and asks if any of the pilgrims has 10p, and Noel finds a lady with 10p, the Banker asks Syrita to hold the 10p and says that could be her reward for playing today.

Syrita says

Wow, what a climax you have walked away from says Noel.

Banker's offer would've been:

£22,000

Narrow TBW a fair result from a game where the player didn't deserve to lose, but the Banker did deserve to win.

Not going to argue there. Deal perfectly understandable.

Agree, I'm pretty sure I'd have taken the 10k myself.

Was expecting it to be Katie today (she must be due to play tomorrow or Sunday).

Good play all round today. Banker read Syrita perfectly. £10k wasn't a good enough offer to get me out the chair at 5-box but it was enough for her and the £22k offer at 2-box was very plausible.

They probably do see Katie as the next Sunday player, but she isn't.

Seeing as she's been the longest runner all week and hasn't played yet, they're likely saving her for tomorrow. She seems like the sort of interesting person they like to keep for Fridays.

She's been there for 26 shows now right? So it could be her tomorrow.

That's the problem with the all blue opening round, it's almost impossible to maintain the momentum - especially if you have a blue in your box That game could have gone either way to be honest, the £10k deal was understandable but not a no brainer. Syrita was just unlucky not to fond the £100k in proveout.

At the end of the day she seemed to have no regrets and that's what matters

Back to all-blue opening rounds turning out to be false dawns... this game won't be remembered for a long time, I'm afraid... :? :?

I'm slightly surprised that in your second post you didn't say, "Hopefully someone will remind her that she had the £100k yesterday..." ;)

Mouth before brain there, I think, Noel... :? ;)

1 - £250,000 :( Nicola

Syrita says that she has never felt so great since being on the show.

That's probably the most positive remark ever made by anyone immediately following the loss of the £250k... ;)

I would have done, had she been in live play at two box.
