£16k. Thought that round deserved a little more than that. It's the classic 37.5% dilemma. Average round is one blue, one power 5 and 1 orange. Just depends which power 5 it is.

Probably worth the risk here but no wrong decision here.

Is that intelligent board-reading advice I'm hearing?

He's gotta go that high, says Noel. Becky gets advice from the wings. Dave asks if she feels lucky. Rich says he thinks it's worth it with three of the Power 5 left. Kirsty and Paul think it'll go down rapidly if the 250k goes, but 35k or less would be an increase or a stick. Dave says she should be able to live with her decision.

Becky says:

DEAL

Would have been just short of the mark for me, but that is a very easy board on which to play one round too far. Sometimes it takes more courage to walk away, and that was one of those times.

Round 5 - proveout round

Box 9 with Wayne - £100

You've gotta find the top two, says Noel.

Box 22 with Berni - £250

You've had six blues in a row, says Noel. This has to be the 250k.

Box 14 with Dave - £1,000

Banker time.

The Banker says the bad round made it difficult for her.

Banker's offer would've been:

£35,000

£35k. Think that's a deal for me now.

Round 6 - proveout round

Becky says the doll has been holding onto the 250k.

Box 15 with Paul - 10p

Box 20 with Fred - £5,000

Amazing, says Noel. You've created two sensational rounds! This is so cruel, he says.

Box 16 with Lauren (opened by Paul) - £35,000

Banker time with £75,000 and £250,000 remaining. :(

Can't remember such a perfect end to a game? Surely Noel hasn't forgotten Suzanne so quickly?

The Banker remembers Suzanne's game, who has a similar finish. He laughs wildly down the phone, and (unsurprisingly) gets booed!

Banker's offer would've been:

£140,000

The Banker played that very well, and deserves his OBW, but Becky absolutely did not deserve that. An astonishing turn of fortune.

OH DEAR... OH DEAR... OH DEAR

That £16,000 offer was an easy no deal.... very worth another round.

Then at five box with 4 reds against 1 blue... a easy no deal...

SHOULD HAVE BEEN A LOT MORE BRAVE

OH DEAR... OH DEAR... OH DEAR

Oh well, I don't blame her for dealing, I would have gone to the end because I'm usually an OHO unless in really precarious games but different circumstances.

Box 8 with Katie contains £75,000.

Becky says she would've gone at 35k, so she'd never have had the 250k. She's still absolutely gutted, but pleased with 16k! :D She apologises to everyone!

Yes but she's got a different situation to you, £16k obviously meant a lot to her so I don't blame her for dealing.

Welcome back to the game threads Mark. Where were you for the last couple of games where being more brave didn't/wouldn't have paid off?

As I said in commentary, £16k was a clever offer by the banker. Read her perfectly and Noel suddenly remembers to ask hypo-questions in proveout. 1 in 14 chance of having a 6-figure offer at 2-box from that 8-box scenario and that's just unlucky that it happened.

Horrible horrible!

Yes she was a little naive to take £16,000 but £35,000 would have been very hard to turn down given the high risk board...but that said, the two smallest went to leave £35,000 as a worst case scenario win so I dunno...£140,000 was right for that finish though...but yeah unlucky for the cruel proveout.

I wouldn't have taken £16,000 but would have found it hard to turn down £35,000

£16k was such an abysmal offer for the board and the break at 9-BOX really ticked me off! :x
