Should have been brave for one more round.

I expect this to be the old faithful...

And then it would have meant, 4 reds against 1 blue... worth another round.

What a round that would have been, and what a 5-box to walk away from says Noel. Noel congratulates Andrew on winning the bet, and Andrew tells Noel to give Boo the £100 he has just won, and Noel says that now takes her total to the £10,200 she turned down earlier.

Banker's offer would've been:

£26,000

To keep the £250k is one thing, to keep the two meaningful backups quite another. A horrendous proveout round, from a Deal that I certainly didn't see as horrendous.

One round to early, would have been hard to no deal "old faithful" on that five box.

And whats with the £50 staying till the end??

The Banker says the offer would have been £84,000 if the £250,000 didn't go.

Banker's offer would've been:

£4,000

An OBW? I actually do believe the offer would have been £84k if she had only chosen Debbie rather than Rosie. That would have been an interesting finish!

You can spin it how you like by mentioning the hypothetical two-box (which in any case was too high for blue/£250k and almost too low for £15k/£250k - I'd want £60k and £90k respectively), the fact is that she made sure of good money on a dangerous board and five-box was the peak.

Would have been interesting to see a BG on £1k/£35k but of course that wasn't possible.

OK game. Deal a bit cautious, but the proveout wasn't as bad as it could have been.

Also, the 40% is annoying me a bit now. Surely, it would be 12.5%, as there'd be an equal chance of all the amounts coming out.

The 40% is also irritating me too. Why is Andrew the only one picking up on the fact and relaying the fact that's it's also 40% to take out any other individual amount on the board, or that it's a 60% chance that you'll leave the big one untouched. Sure, 40% may be higher than most people like, but it's proving to be a statistic that everyone is treating like gospel.

Why is nobody saying it's 37.5%? Or are they being edited out? ;)

I have notice that over the games, Noel has subtlely (sp?) changed it to "almost" 40%.

Boo Hoo. Good to see squandering is still rife after all these years. At least we were spared an excruciating sob-story (though maybe I missed it when I temporarily nodded off waiting for the game to start - it was nearly 5.15 before we even got to open a box!) and despite the glacial pace of the game things did eventually start to get interesting.

Still I knew it wouldn't last long as did the Banker. Nobody has any guts whatsoever and one paltry offer later it was all over. Talk about lambs to the slaughter. I'll never understand how anyone can deal with the £250k still on the board but by any standards this was pretty feeble.

And an hour is far too long for the show. It absolutely dragged by.

I haven't heard a good sob story in ages. In fact the only one that I can remember is from Feb/March time when the woman got offered the mini boxes at the end (about 8 I think before she would take the bg)

Good to have you back on the commentary. Cynics are always welcome :smt047

I'm beginning to think that it's actually a crime to support the contestants. :)
