That is a huge improvement on the previous rounds says Noel. Noel talks about the chances of Andy winning the 1p, and says it is highly unlikely, but the Banker calls and says he has a 1 in 8 chance at the moment.

Noel asks what are the chances of the 1p coming to the table again today, and the Banker calls and says 1 in 5. The Banker says that Andy has no back up on the board at the moment, but if he keeps the top 2 in play it will be to his advantage. The Banker asks for a little negotiation with Andy, and tries to find out what target Andy has, but Andy won't reveal anything.

Banker's offer:

£13,000

I'd take that.

Aside from anything else, it doesn't even totally rule out a Power 5 win because the £3k/£35k BG is on and I'd take it if it came up.

Easy deal imo. Personal preference though. Id almost be treating the £3k as a blue here.

Noel asks about the conversation, and Andy confirms that the Banker was after a target, but Andy says that isn't a good idea giving him a target. Andy's mum says that he could do a lot with £13,000 and the next round could go horribly wrong. Andy gets more advice from the wings, and then the Banker calls and says he loves it when the contestants have just seen a 1p win.

I don't think the stakes are high enough to dismiss £3k as a blue, but it's not a huge boost. It's a two-box game, for sure, and with the ratio between those two my rule is to look for an offer to match what I'd expect on the £35k-high finish. With current Banker convention, that's just over £10k, maybe closer to £15k if you keep the orange as the kicker.

The offer of £13k is therefore enough; I'd just about take £10k if it were three blues with those top two, but the orange bumps that up to maybe £11,500. Good play regardless of the previous game.
