And let's hope that period continues!

Funny how 2 shows after the biggest 'banker spanking' ever, we got one that's among the lowest! Considering we've had barely a grand offered on a £10k/blue finish previously, £3,500 didn't seem a bad offer but not a no-brainer of a deal either, so a fair argument for both options there. Fortunately Elaine picked the right one! She seemed like a fun contestant too.

For the record, the lowest spanking was Phyl in March 2008, who clawed back from a disasterous few opening rounds to deal a peak offer of £2,050.01!

Yes, I also remembered Phyl's game at the end, anyway great result to get an OPW out of today's game, the final round being one of the few where she didn't discover the top amount, and this proving just enough to squeeze a respectable and peak offer from the banker, great stuff! :D

Can't really criticise that, to take out the 1p first box and then just go onto a red frenzy was real bad luck and it did look like we were headed for an all blue finish.

So pleased that Elaine managed to hold onto the £10,000 till the end, but the moment i saw the final offer i knew she had to deal it - and it proved to be an OPW as well. A quite satisfying conclusion

Fun contestant, Noel is a random, crazy mode and an OPW.

Good game to start the week.

When the audience groaned at the £3.5k offer at 2 box, did anyone else hear Noel say "She's got a quid in there" whilst he nodded at the box?

I heard that too... although I assumed I'd mis-heard and he'd actually said "She might have a quid in there". :?

By that argument Noel is using that there could be a quid in the box to justify the offer, that means he could support a £3,500 offer on a £250k/£1 finish.

I've played the C4 catchup thing and it definately sounds like "got " and not "could". Just adds to my belief that the banker knows what's in all the boxes and sometimes lets on to Noel at a crucial point in the game

Just rewatched that bit. Sounds like he just said 'could have' very quickly.

When I saw it "live" on TV it certainly sounded like "got" and also when I played the catchup first thing the next morning. I played it again in the evening and it does now sound all to clearly that Noel does indeed say "could have" :eyes: Must be me, although h2005 thought it was "got" too
