Noel turns to Bev's husband who says that is good money. Bev says she needs a new sofa as she has had it for over 25 years. Bev goes to Anthony who says that if Bev plays on and takes the top 2 amounts out the offer will be about the same, but she does have a couple of good back up amounts to the £100,000.

Bev says

NO DEAL

Well, if I received a rubbish offer I wouldn't hesitate to say so - instead of deciding "OK, I'll tell a lie then"...

What a round says Noel, totally opposite to what we wanted. The Banker says you have got to love that death box.

Banker's offer:

£900

And the 1p's still there... :(

Don't say Bev is another of those contestants who, before they play their game, are really sure they'll win big money?

The worst such contestant was, of course, Matty - and he won 1p...

You were saying, Bev?

You could be about to join Matty and over thirty others on a barge...

I am so sorry says Noel. Hilde tells Bev that she has her lovely husband and family, she has the best thing in life. The Banker says that Bev is going home with a blue, and Bev talks about being in the 1p club

Banker's offer:

9p

Box 10 with Gillian contains the £1

Bev becomes the 36th member of the 1p club.

The Banker calls and says that she has made him the happiest man in the world, as it has cost him just 1p, but it has cost Noel a pair of shoes

Well I'm sorry, but if she was so confident before this game that she was going to win big money, then she kind of deserves to win 1p.

I just do not like that attitude... :x

Not quite as bad as Matty, though.

Yeah even I feared the worst when she was said she was going to win big money...shades of Matty's game through to the core! :(

She came in expecting a big-money game and she didn't get it. Plenty of others get caught chasing in similar situations though, and no good player of the game would have won more than a quid today (the eight-box board was probably worth about £9k).

Although most players do get a significant offer late in the game, you have to be prepared to be one of those who don't...
