I think you jinxed things, suggesting that £10,998 offer would be the top of this game!!!

haha. Noel is the jinx. :smt023

Actually 7k may be his key to walk away, but hes probably looking at the 10k and 50k so hes very tempted to go on.

Noel says he's pitched that perfectly. Kim says the £50k is still there, but £7,000 is real money that he could win now. Andre says it's a 1-box game and he's worried what would happen if the £50k goes. Alex says the money would contribute to his wedding.

Alex says

DEAL

Round 6 - proveout

Noel says he likes it when players respect the money, and he says £7,000 is a massive sum of money for everyone.

5 - Jefferson - 50p

Wrong 50, says Noel.

22 - Kim - £10,000

19 - newbie Bev - £1,000

Banker time with £1 and £50,000 remaining...

Box 18 with Vera contains the £50,000

Noel says the banker significantly overpaid for the box.

I'm assuming they were well-prepared for these shorter shows then; judging by the swift intro, the lack of the 3rd advert break, and the shortness of Noel's end-speech to camera ("See you tomorrow. Bye!").

Denied of 2-box deal, thanks to the early loss of the big ones

If they wanted to cut a bit more then they could easily get rid of Noel's welcome to DoND speech and shorten the titles for these shorter episodes. Apart from the lack of a 3rd break and Noel's end speech I didn't really notice much. Obviously the game went along a bit quicker and there wasn't that much banter or as much chat with the contestant, but then it depends what was cut. I also wasn't expecting the break after the first offer in these games either.

For the people who like a swift game then no doubt they'd prefer the shorter episodes, but for people who like more banter and messing around (me) then not so.

Yesterday's show ran for 47:00 and today's ran for 32:29 - a difference of 13:31 (to be precise  ).

I have to say that after 10 weeks of longer shows, it all seemed rushed today. Odd that they've decided to go for 5-8-9 for the box openings in each part rather than the old 7-6-9 but I presume the break after the first round seems natural for the editors now.

£7k was arguable either way (EV was probably around £8.5k). Proveout offer was fair and although a TBW, would have been a TPW had he left any other box to the end with the £1.

I'd forgotten how quickly those 45m shows whizz by compared to the hour long ones.

Shame Alex couldn't have found the £50k in prove out but at least he made a respectable profit on his box, that's what matters.

It was still obvious he was going to deal, though, wasn't it? There were less than 10 minutes left... ;) ;)
