It's another one of those boards says the Banker. He tells Tomas to play safe here.

Banker's offer:

£8,000

Tomas says the Banker is a wise man, and he has seen too many games go bad lately. Tomas' grandson says that would get him a good few holidays, so think about this.

Tomas says

DEAL

Noel thinks that decision was made due to all the crashes recently. He then calls a break...

Worth at least another round. I've a feeling a round too early.

A bit of a cautious deal perhaps, but he's only got 2 above the offer and I wouldn't want to see him win a blue.

Only the best contestants talk to Noel about his impending death. ;)

Box 14 with Nick contains the £750

Noel says it was technically not a Banker Spanking because the first offer was the highest.

Tomas asks Noel to open the last nut from the money tree and he reveals and a that says thank you for an unforgettable experience. Noel says the amazing bit is on the back it says thanks for the £8,000

Noel says it's good that we've broken away from the bad luck, but they haven't really - it's just that Tomas took a deal before the game fell apart! I'm sure most contestants would've gone on and crashed to a blue win.

Anyway Noel was spot on when he spoke about Tomas's comic genius and timing. Certainly one of the best contestants there's ever been and the best show for a long time.

Fortunately I could see this one as I had a day off work (to recover from a big drink last night of all things!!!) - an average game with a massive personality like that is as good as the massive wins to me, and a contestant like Tomas really benefitted from the longer edit. (And I watched Derrick's game on 4OD over Dale's as well last weekend! :) )

Great show and really pleased he got out when he did, I thought it was a good move with only two above the offer and so it proved.

And I kept wanting to say "Thomas" (took until today for me to realise it didn't have a h in his name!) in the voice of the woman owner of Tom the cat out of Tom & Jerry. :D

Sherilyn's appalling Deal is still to be topped for winnings since - but Tomas has at least equalled it, and it sounded like he was hilarious - one upside of the 65-minute format I guess!

I think Endemol should release an unedited version of one or two classic shows on DVD...

Well, I said in LJ's thread that Tomas was quite a character out on the wings, and proved to be during his game. :D

Was pleased to see that he took the more prudent approach when dealing at £8,000 given the total trainwrecks we have experienced this week. I do think however that after Beryl, Karl, and LJ's games that some of the awaiting contestants may be feeling somewhat un-nerved.

We'll see what happens on Sunday when whoever is up next will have a red in their box, and maybe some sense of normailty restored.

Phil.

Speaking of Sherilyn's game, Tomas told her that he would have dealt at £8k like she did... :ponder: :suspect:

In his case, though, it was a perfectly justifiable move and the right one, too. :smt023

Thanks for a fun game Tomas, and enjoy the money! :smt023

Aw I missed Tomas' game but from the commentary it sounds like a corker, not suprised as he stood out on the wings since he arrived. Will watch it at weekend. Glad he won a reasonable amount. Funny that he dealt for the same amount he said he would have in Sherilyns game. The first player to bail out of the game early in the last week before the game crashed. I'm not counting George as if she had gone on in live play, I'm sure the offer would have gone up.

A cautious deal that actually paid off for once! Could say that he kinda got lucky by 5-box, but indeed a fourth crash would've probably dented their confidences even further
