Anyway, yes, great game. Dai was a great character and it was quite pleasing to see him go away with good money. The £5 was just another example of DoND irony, which we see quite often but never gets boring.

Desert Island Deal #4

Very good twist for the first round, and regardless of winning a holiday or not it was one of the best opening rounds in ages – actually £761.50 taken out in the first round, isn’t that one of the best opening rounds ever?!

Actually he seem to have fairly extreme rounds up until 8-box, at which point it became an average one-box-game.

The bottles didn’t manage to play that big a part in today’s game due to the loss of the big numbers so quickly early on in the game - I'm glad they weren't forced in at the end as they can be during these sort of weeks.

Anyway, it was a great ending to have the £10,000 in the box, especially as having the £5 would have made it the second of four occasions this week that the chosen amount in the first round could not be found. He, as did I, seemed truly convinced he had the £5 so seemed extremely happy with the £10,000 – well done to him!

So, so far this week 1p, £1, £1,000, and today the £10,000 have come to the table – here’s hoping for the £100,000 tomorrow then?

I'd call it more ironic if that happened and about damm time as well!
