Jenks speaks to his wife, and she says it's a lot of money and he'd have to be very unlucky to have the worst case scenario. Dave and Rob offer some words of encouragement.

Jenks says

NO DEAL

Jenks asks if he can have a word with the banker and the banker says no, so Jenks asks if he can have a mug, and the banker says no again!

Banker's offer:

£8,000

Jenks says it's amazing how serious the game has become now, and Noel says we're at the business end of the game now. Rob says he thinks now would be a good point to make an offer after every box! The banker phones back and says no. :P His wife says the money is better than £1, and Darren says he doesn't want to see him win a blue.

Jenks says

DEAL

Noel says this is quite an interesting situation.

Banker's offer would've been:

£14,500

£14,500 sounds real but a bit low

Box 10 with Rob contains the £35,000

Noel says Jenks could have had significantly more, but Jenks says the £8,000 will make some happy dents in their lives!

We seem to have gone back to our old ways regarding luck again :( It was a fairly average game in the end, with the power 5 very quickly disapearing round by round.

As regards the offers I thought it was a bit all over the place today! £5,000 stick after the £100k going seemed a bit off, and then the £8,000 seemed too low, I was expecting £10/12,000 (therefore, was very suprised that he dealt). However, £14,500?! Isn't that a bit inflated for a blue/£35K finish?

The average at the time wasn't much over £10k, so £8,000 was a pretty good offer. I was expecting a grand or two less.

I agree that offering £14,500 on a £35k/blue finish is a lot more generous than the Banker typically is.

Not exactly a perfect game ;)

Still, it was the sort of game where only reckless play was going to produce a big payout, and to take the second-highest sum possible from the game for a TPW is never a result to complain too loudly about.
