KP - the £26,000 motif came from two games late in January 2007 where the Phil and Leanne both dealt at 8 box for that amount and both were huge banker wins (with £35k/£75k and £100k/£250k finishes respectively). The cycle was broken the next day when Bunney turned down £26k and 11 box and we all know how that ended up.

Oh I remember that now. Amazing how it's stuck... especially given Bunney's game. If the two blues had gone in Thursday's final round £21,500 would surely have stayed.

Had those games not been huge OBW's it probably wouldn't have stuck.
