Great OPW today...didn't seem like we was gonna get there for a moment...

Has anyone forgotten Ronnie's final round though? He's taken the big three out in one round before...yes with only five boxes left but it should still be counted!

Not entirely sure those No Deals weren't simply getting carried away but when they work out and an OPW (from a Deal too it must be stressed!) is the result, it's pretty tough to be unhappy! Good result from a game that looked like a potential comedy trainwreck for a long time, certainly offer-wise.

Don't think we've seen a higher 2 box offer with 15K and a blue still in play. I remember being at the Dream Factory to watch Nicky's game November 2007 where she was offered £7,100 with a 3K and 15K finish (she no dealt to win the 15K) so a really good result for Mary after a nightmare 8 box scenario. The one box offers really reward courage if you can get to the final two with the biggest 5 box amount still in play.

Well, that turned out to be quite a fun game in the end with that twist, and with it Mary effectively snatched victory from the jaws of defeat! Can't complain about an OPW after the awful 8-box scenario she faced, 7k seemed like a real mega money win from that game!

Now that's how to make the best of a bad board! If you get to 2-box with the highest value from 5-box intact AND having had one to open the banker always offers huge money for the last pair. Just look at Whitey's game for another example. :)

Why is it that bad boards sometimes provide the most interesting games?

Anyway all Marys on the show seem to be legends and this one was no exception. Enjoy the money!

So Noel can get fed the 1 in 680 odds in his earpiece but the banker can't get the 60% chance of taking 1-box out from 5 box right - amazing.

I wonder had the banker not gone on the 1-box opening route and Mary had opened the 3 boxes she did without the extra offers, would the banker have been as generous at 2-box?

Gambling old-ladies never cease to amaze me. For me, I'd have bailed out at 4 or 3 box today but if Mary could afford to lose the £4k or so, then you can't blame her for gambling.

Great game, Mary had some apalling luck in the early stages but she held her nerve and her courage was rewarded nicely

I was a bit annoyed at the Banker for going from £650 to 64p (what was wrong with £6.50? :o ) but it did emphasise how badly the game was going and i suppose it made the second half of the game look better than it was. Interesting that the final offer was only £200 higher than the opening one, yet was still the peak of the game.
