Banker's Gamble! Deal! Hopefully he won't listen to his dad this time.

Extra offer at 3-box and a banker's gamble? Today's game is certainly not free of twists.

The Banker tells Noel that he wants the £25,000 and then Shaun can rejoin live play!

Banker's offer:

Banker's Gamble

Classic Banker gameplay here. Let's see if the gambler re-emerges here. Dad certainly doesn't want him to gamble though.

Ooh I don't think I've ever seen a contestant's friend / relative in the audience be so pushy! Mind you, I think Shaun's a bit obsessed with the £50k and it's "blinding" him (to use words that Noel's used before).

Shaun gets advice from the wings to gamble, but his dad tells him to take the £25,000 and stop being silly!! Francis tells Shaun he should really listen to his dad.

Shaun says

DEAL

Box 6 with Rod contains the £50,000

Noel congratulates Shaun for his game which split the studio, but also that he remained true to himself and played the game he wanted.

Well that twisted and turned - interesting psychological ploy by the banker. I found it very odd indeed that he dealt at 3 box but accepted the undeal.

WOW! What a game for me to be on here. Good offers, a lot of tactics and the tension at the end! Possible game of the month!

Noel's right. That was a controversial game. It seems in the end that the true Shaun was the one that took the BG and not the one that dealt at 3 box.

David, Think the only one like that I can remember was a young girl who played in May 2007 (cant remember her name....maybe you can... but she played a couple of days before £101k Graeme).......her mother almost ordered her to deal at £11k....which she eventually did......and she had the £50k in her box

That was Leila - I remember it well as Wakey was on here at the time and had a massive rant about it - especially as she had box 4 on the table.

That was probably the most interesting episode since Calum's! Not sure what to make of it though really. The offer at 8-box was surprisingly generous, the 5-box offer was fairly poor (but just about dealable) and the 3-box offer gave Shaun a good opportunity to call it quits and get back to the offer he had at 8-box.

It seems strange he dealt at 3-box but also dealt the banker's gamble, but it looked like the lure of the £50k dragged him on, despite what his father and sister were saying. You could tell the general feeling in the studio when he dealt the banker's gamble was that he shouldn't have dealt it. Of course it was a coin-flip as to whether he'd get the £50k or not! But because he'd already no dealt £25k, then got it back and dealt it, the decision to then let go of it again was rather surprising.

What makes it stranger is that if he hadn't had the 3-box offer, he probably would've had a final offer of £25k and would've no dealt to win £10k anyway. Except the fact he had that chance at 3-box makes the final outcome feel worse than it should do!

Certainly made for interesting television, even if he played it in a way that most people (especially of his age) probably wouldn't have done!
