Now that's the way to play the game!

Lots of Banter, great tensions, huge offer taken and a Banker Spanking to finish, what a game! :D

Enjoy £25,000, Ben :smt023

Very clever play by Ben there, he played it brilliantly! He got the most he could out of the game, which is amazing. Congratulations Ben!

Great to see the banker completely outplayed!

Well done Ben on winning £25,000 especially after such a bad start and a board that
looked like it was never going to recover! :D

Well that worked out didn't it? Placated the Banker by praising a rubbish offer, then flipped into Wakeyism, then after some sensational luck he gets an offer only Wakeyists would even consider rejecting... and then revealed he was a Fakeyist all along.

An excellent £25,000 win, but it's a shame that ten times that is mostly likely to go to someone who really is dismissive of the whole point of the game, rather than someone who isn't but deliberately plays tricks to make the Banker think otherwise.

Fabulous, best game in ages - even though there have been other wins in the region of £25k, it was the way that it was achieved. That sort of amount is easily available for a cautious player leaving early an a great board, but to battle through an apparent trainwreck where all the momentum was with the player in the latter stages, and sell the box he'd swapped for that contained half the amount of his original box - brilliant. And Ben was such a great character too, though after that performance I'd recommend against anyone intending to play him at poker! :)

To be honest, I don't think the banker took him seriously until after 5-box which cost him as even with the extra offers, Ben kept taking out the lowest amount to the point where he panicked at 2-box and went over the odds there, I don't think there was even a decision to make until 3-box as all the prior offers were in the realms of all the orange safety nets.

And great comedy from the wings with the pretend insults, and also the newbie Noel - there's loads of this 22 whose games I'm really looking foward to!

A very entertaining game with some very funny banter- and what a poker face Ben has.

I was utterly convinced that he was going all the way and that he believed he was going to win £50,000

Should have known he was a smart player when he took out his ex-box straight after the swap - the mistake so many players make with a first round swap is leaving the rejected box in play. Taking it out is the only wat to prove to the Banker you have no regrets about your decision.

Hmm. given that box 13 apparantly meant nothing to him I wonder what prompted Ben to go for the swap? Was it just to psych out the Banker?

Great game today. Ben played the banker brilliantly - recognised some poor offers, turned down a decent offer at £11k and then got a 2 box offer that showed the banker was scared of him.

Why did Ben even get the swap in the first place? Normally the player only gets one if they've spoken about how they have a particular like for a number, but I don't think Ben mentioned anything about 13 before the swap offer.

He played it very well though, and it was great the boxes worked out well for him. I guessed there'd be an offer after every box though, as it was only 4:43 at 5-box! I couldn't think of any other way that the time could be filled out...

Well done Ben for an entertaining and a poker face game.
I didn't see it coming when in fact he was telling porkies.
Even at the beginning of the second round when he took out the box he chose at random. I couldn't see it coming mainly because if I ever did it (which is very unlikely) I would take it out straight away and also I would keep quiet about tactics than lie about them.
Enjoy the money Ben.

Brilliant. Brilliant. BRILLIANT! :D

There was nothing to deal for until 4-box with the £6,500 offer...but with the chance of guaranteeing £3,000 (like what he did) there was definitely a good gamble there.

Assuming I didn't swap my box, the only real decision was the £11,000 offer at 3-box; either the £50,000 was going to go, to "crash", or take one of the two smaller amounts to get an even bigger offer. I think with £3,000 guaranteed I'd have also gone for it...and £25,000 at the end there was amazingly generous! I'd have been very reluctant to deal there though with £10,000 guaranteed...probably would have ended up winning £10,000 from the box.

Yes, £25k would have been bang on for a £10k/£50k finish. I'd probably take it, just.

I think the banker could only make a low monetary offer that was bound to be no dealt so the swap offer was more interesting - more variety in the game
