The Banker says he will be cross if Daniel's target is less than £21,000....

Banker's offer would've been:

£31,000

£31k is almost spot on the FD there. Tough decision that would have been.

And I would've thought about that one for longer...

Noel thought Daniel would struggle, but he only went 1 round too soon

Banker's offer would've been:

£2,000

The cautious deal without the big red in the box. Almost perfect way to end the blue run of wins.

The most pointless hypothetical swap ever.

I don't think there's any need for a hypo swap after that! :?

Noel asks what Daniel would have done, and Daniel asks if he would have offered the SWAP. The Banker calls back and says he would have.

Noel does the hypo SWAP...

Daniel now has box 10 which contains £500

Box 19 with Jean contains the £5,000

Daniel wrote a target of £5,000

The Banker calls back and is screaming down the phone

Well, at least it's makes his victory sweeter and I can't believe his target was that low, he played a blinder!

And that's the way to do it, enjoy £21,000, Daniel

Carol's was just as pointless back in January, where she dealt 9k, crashed to an all blue finish and did the hypo swap then.

His target of £5k possibly explains the reaction to the first offer of £11k and probably his deal at 8 box.

Hitting the 10% trainwreck at the end was satisfying.

It was a really great game compared to the 2 before and lets hope this can carry on throughout the week. :)

I was in the audience for this show and when his name was called he was a bit shocked, now I know why, he had only just creeped onto the radar of contestants that could have their name called (ones who have done 16 shows or more) although occasionally it might be less but very unlikely.
It was a cautions deal indeed and I was surprised that his target was low when I first watched it, it completely surprised me.
I remember that when they record a few pick ups at the end which can be edited into the show the crew almost forgot that box 19 had to be on the table not box number 10.
I do hope that he can get more than just a bathtub (be it a rather large one) and continues to have fun with the tarbarrels. It was funny when the banker joked about Daniel carrying Ben on his back with a tar barrel.

I'd have played on at £21k - and if he was happy with £5k I think he should have done, the £35k making it a near-certainty that the five-box offer would be above £5k - but you can't argue with a significant-money TPW for a conservative player after two trainwrecks on the bounce.
