Eddie's game today.

Noel talks about how every player and game is different, but one thing is the same, the amazing atmosphere in the studio and how it ebbs and flows throughout the game and explains how it did it through Kerrie's game yesterday and how even though she missed out on some mega-money her later revelation of why she needed the £35,000 picked up the atmosphere at end.

Yesterday he was left till last and yep, he had the £250k. Oh dear.

Eddie has box 3 today. He is an professional squash player, and Noel asks him if was successful at it, but then says he couldn't have been if he is here at the moment!!

Eddie jokes about not picking the box randomly himself, and gets threatened with a black eye from Noel!!!

Eddie recognises the £250,000 as both disproportionately influential on the game and a source of psychological pressure. I'm sure he'll be very happy to have a strong £100,000 board at this point, and I wouldn't object myself.

An all-blue helps now, not least because it forces a great increase in the offer. Perhaps even to ten grand - this board already feels likely to produce a win of £20,000 or maybe a bit less.

This is like you says Noel, and is a bit of a creeper of a game. The Banker asks if Eddie is happier now he has the coat.

Noel asks Eddie what they pay in the squash tournaments, and Eddie replies that it's not a lot, and his girlfriend says that the top UK prize is around £16,500....

Ten grand it is! Not far off being dealable on a £100,000 14-box board but he should, and will, play on. Fifteen would be another matter, I'd be gone at that.

Edit: £16,500 is now certain to appear as an offer. There's too many permutations from here that lead to an offer in that range, and it's an old Banker motif as well.
