A good ending at the end, but once again we were robbed of a power five win :eyes:

Great game today! Had tension, decent offers and a great player! Also good win! More games like that please! But the editers could have done a better job!

Enjoyed that, good to see him at least be rewarded with a nice win at the end, it was obvious Judy was going to have the 75k though, but in all truth had Paul left her, I've no doubt he would have no-dealt 35k on 15k/75k and won the 15k anyway, but it made for more of a feel-good ending doing it that way! Liked his attitude too, he showed enough respect to the offers to believe he'd have dealt had the right offer camer along, except that it never did! (Anyone think he reminded you of Buddy - in appearance not attitude?) :)

I thought the offers apart from 5-box were all pretty poor and even that 15k was a few grand short of what I'd have taken.

And also why didn't the banker say at the 3-box phone call what he'd offer if the next box was the 15k? Did he know it couldn't be taken out becuase it was there on the table (mischevious grin)? :D

Well done Paul, enjoy the 15k!!

Probably as the middle ground offer wouldn't have added to the tension of the £30k difference between top and bottom offer.

Good game today - it seems a while since we've had not one but two offers that needed thought about them.

I'm glad he won the 15k! Finally, a game where you can feel good about the ending. I'm not biiter about the 21k offer because you had to no deal that with the board he had.

Not sure whether to call this one an Epic Win or Fail. What do you lot say?
Regardless, congrats to Paul on winning £15,000!

Yes I thought the same! A good show today with some good offers at 8-box and 5-box, although they could've both been a few grand more which would've made Paul think even harder. But at last, someone who takes a calculated gamble is rewarded with a decent win! Ok so it wasn't a huge win but at least he didn't end up with the blue as so many gamblers have recently.

No Decision refers to any game with a decent win that can't be classified as an Epic Win or Fail. This kind of thing happens almost all the time with starting pitchers in baseball.

You can't do that for this show, silly! At least let some shows that have good wins be uncategorised! :P

And for the record, I'd have called it an EPIC WIN; £21,000 being declined on a strong board is excused normally, especially when the person still manages to recover to a good amount won in the end!

Hmm, perhaps you're right, Dave. He only did lose 6 grand after all that, and he did get a great win out of it in the end. Ignore the No Decision, then.
Expect Box 23 to have different colored labels based on the results of certain games this season. I've got a ton of ideas ;) .

Watching that game I had a feeling that Paul was going to have the £75k in his box.....shows how much I know huh.

Anyway was a good game with mostly fair and reasonable offers and Paul played it well and got a good reward.

Enjoy the £15k.

I thought the 20th (now 21st) September rung a bell with me in terms of DOND... and this is why:

All I can say is do not miss the show on Saturday 20th September. Mark it on the calendar now.

Now I know today's show was pretty good with the £15k box win after a calculated gamble was taken, and it was fairly unusual because of the swap offer at the start... but was there any particular reason we were advised to "mark it on the calendar now"? I have to say I was expecting something more... maybe a change in the format or an amazing dream offer that was accepted, or something unusual like that! :?

Great game today, seemingly matching the contestant with a board that invited a gamble due to its ladder structure. Pity that it didn't pay off to the full. Good to see some decent offers and some tricky decisions to be made (if 21k had been 26k, i would've strongly considered accepting it, and 15k was certainly borderline). Almost deserved a good result for the bottle he had shown that had been severely lacking over the last few months.

It seemed a bit much that contestants were crying when there was still £15k up for grabs - looking at their faces, you'd think he'd crashed to 2 blues! Anyway, great win, and the precursor to an evening of top class televisual drama across the stations! Who says Sunday nights can't be entertaining?

Another exciting game, The board really worked in Paul's favour as he nearly always seemed to have more reds than blues and it was definitely too good a board to walk away from. That penultimate round was always going to be precarious though, just because there were so few blues left to hit.

Still even if it wasn't perfect it worked out alright in the end. £15k is a tasty little sum, well worth wininng.

An exciting game and whilst it was a shame that the very last box with Judy contained £75,000 at least Paul managed to win £15,000 from his box. Which made for a good ending and in gameplay terms a good result with his highest offer during the game being only £21,000.

I'm also sure at the end of the game when Noel & Paul shook hands Paul said to Noel "thanks for the shirt". Unless I misheard then does that mean the shirt Paul had on was given to him by Noel. :ponder:

Incidentally, is that the most amount of money that has been on the table in a single week (£615,550)? Possible winnings this week could've been £643,300!
