£11,000 was a sensible deal. You just never know how it might go, and that is a nice sum of money! :) It's so easy with the benefit of hindsight.

Tricky decision...I think I'd probably have gone on but I can definitely see why she dealt, it was a really dangerous board.

I love June! A worthy successor to Pat! And I loved the other contestants defending her...especially Sarah...

Maybe Janie is Maxine's mum, as Maxine wanted another shot at winning the £250,000? Just a thought.

My goodness that was a dull game to watch. Can't believe she dealt so early with 4 reds remaining that were higher than the amount she was offered, some past contestants would have killed for a board like that. Oh well, £11,000 is still a tidy sum I guess. Good use of psychology by the banker. Hope the show tomorrow is a bit more exciting.

I'm afraid I'm inclined to agree. Not the most interesting of games, but pleased she went away with decent money.

MisterAl over at Bother's Bar has posted just what I was thinking - new player Janie is a spitting image of Maxine who played a few weeks back, and I think they're standing in the same place too! :D

Having spent nine games standing next to Maxine, Smiler Dave must be getting flashbacks...

Well to be fair she had just watched Pat and Patrick have games that fell apart after a decent start. If the £250k was still there then you would be mad to deal with 8 on the board unless there's no safety net, but on a £75k-high board you're never going to get monster offers and there was still a fair chance of disaster.

I think we've just got used to a high proportion of players choosing to or being forced to go on to the end. When I first started watching there were a lot more games like this.

Well I have to agree with the previous comments I'm afraid. I just didn't find it an interesting game, not because it didn't go through to the end, but just the way they tried to have a "personal battle" with the Banker just to make it seem more interesting, that annoyed me a bit.

But nevertheless, well done Sandy, not only to have won an amount of money you were satisfied with, but to appear on National TV and have to make the most important Deal of your life (according to Noel's little speech at the start). It's definitely a hard thing to do and a tough decision to call, and credit where credit's due :) It's nice to see players that are content with the money they get, and don't get greedy and gamble like many others we have seen been let down at the end.

Yeah, I agree. It was unbelievably false and more than a little pointless in my book. Certainly not the most entertaining game, either - I didn't even notice Sandy in the wings! But it wasn't the worst game to watch we've ever had though.
