Noel asks Dave if he wants to try and make peace with the banker and ask for a money!

The banker calls back and says he was always going to make a financial offer, but he just wanted to see Dave grovel!!!

Banker offers

£21,000

Do you ever get the feeling that the Banker does things just to see what our reaction is on here?

How come?

Why has he called back with £21,000. He said he wasn't going to be generous, that has annoyed me now!

Was that the Banker thinking 'oh *beep*, we'll lose viewers if we carry this over?'. I reckon it was!

£21k is a definite Deal for me.

Because of the swap offer.

I think £21k is about on the line between generosity and stinginess.

I'm pretty sure there's £75,000 in there. Well was but then started doubting myself, and... well there was 1p.

£21,000 is the right offer. High enough to make it a pretty clear Deal for most in utility terms, low enough to be a big saving on the mean.

Let's do the OPW dance!

He called up with £21,000. Which is an inflated offer anyway. I wish the banker would have made up his *beep* mind

That seemed a heck of a lot of drama to go through to end up with an extra £1K, especially as £20k was his target. So many people seem to have the rock as their target, that I wouldn't reveal the fact I had a target to the banker as it makes life a lot easier for him.

21Kwas a good offer cannot blame him for dealing knowing the way the banker goes off these days.

Although I rather we had the swap finish just for some exicitement since we knew whatever he was offered finanically as long as over 10K was going to get dealed.

1P on table again, sheesh.

PS : I knew his target would be 20K :P Always is

I want to see someone play the banker at his own game. That will be the pinnacle of DoND.

Dave went through the mill a bit today. He was quite brave to resist what I thought was a generous £20k third offer but suffered some really stingy subsequent offers as the game started to fall apart. Offers so low that there was really no hard decision to make until 2 box. Nice too that his wife told him to go on rather than cop-out.

The Bankers swap/no swap offer at 2 box was just beyond low. Gratuitous cruelty beyond contempt. Almost desperate. What is the flaming point of even having a show if he isn't going to make offers. And when he did make the offer it was so generous I nearly fell off my chair. The £21k was a gimme and he could have got away with probably low teens with the 1p up there. Still, he probably felt guilty about such a despicable trick and at least it gave us a feel good ending rather a bitter one.

I would love to see someone ask the banker for a swap for a last offer with a blue/high red finish!

I'd love to see his face!

I thought that £21,000 was quite generous, considering the other offers with the 1p at the final two boxes.

Would have dealt that to.

Wow, a lot of tension today!

I thought deal instantly at the third offer too, but I guess it was more entertaining the way he ended up doing it! I was REALLY glad that the banker ended up paying dearly for that ridiculous 2k offer as well, he never learnt from Shaz's game did he (and indeed Irene's when he got a lucky escape!).

You know I even believed him with he said SWAP too, but not only was there no LTL get-out, but there was also no reason for him to do it (like there was with PJ not opening the box he swapped away).

That 21k is the most generous offer with 1p in the last pair for a LONG time, and most deals on 1p/red usually find the red in the box - I expected it today too, so glad I was wrong!

Well done Dave!
