There is now a massive gap between the £100,000 and the back-up says Noel, and Stevie replies that it doesn't really matter if the £100,000 is in his box. The banker has checked back through his records for the least money he has paid out for the £100,000 box. and it was £6,000....

Banker offers

£5,999

Stevie tells Noel that when he picked up his box that it felt heavy, and Noel says that you do have to consider the weight of ink... The banker calls back just as Noel asks Stevie the question, and tells Noel that they paint in the white bits on the values, so it must be the £50

Stevie says

NO DEAL

Noel opens box 5 and reveals £100,000

Box 14 contains £10,000

Noel asks at which point did the extra bit of courage leave him, and Stevie replies that he did look up to his wife, who said to go on, but he said he couldn't go home with nothing...

Well isn\'t that a shame he didn\'t listen to himself. They say all these things and believe all these things, they are so confident they have it and then when it comes to the offers they lose it and end up blowing it.

Imagine if he hung on - I doubt he would take £40,000 because you just don\'t in that situation and he would have won £100,000 (He definately wouldn\'t have swapped). I knew a cautious person would be in the lot and ruin the great run of games we\'ve had this week. If he listened to himself he would have trumped both yesterday\'s game and the day before.

Not trying and squandering the money is far worse than losing offer money. thats for sure.

Ouch, we came so close to a great £50k-£75k-£100k pattern there!

I actually prefer that situation than if he'd have gone "The £100k's there, No Deal!" and then winning £50. I can see why it'd be painful missing out on £90k, but £10,000's deffo a chunky sum and I wouldn't complain about that!

So sadly not the big win it could have been, but still an entertaining game, well done on the £10,001, Stevie!

Haha. Box 4 had the 1p today.

Anyway, it just goes to show how a good start doesn't mean a good finish... although in this case, it would've been had Stevie played on far enough. Still, he dealt when it was good for him, so that's good enough for me! I personally would've no dealt the £10,001 and dealt at £40,000 but well done to Stevie for getting the money he wanted... he should've stuck to his instincts and gone for it though if he was that certain! :(
