No - because if someone deals, there's only so much time that can be filled in the proveout, especially if the proveout goes the player's way.

Well then, for 11-box and 8-box deals, Channel 4 could make their ad breaks longer, could they not? :eyes:

Then the player would deal without the clock suggesting just that... :eyes: :eyes: ;)

Channel 4 are allowed a certain amount of advertising time within each hour, so they couldn't really make them any longer.

In that case, I guess I should just stop looking at the clock... :eyes: :eyes: :eyes:

But that's pretty much impossible. :eyes: :eyes: :eyes:

Who'd have thought names for chickens could be so influential in the offers...

I do wonder, if Gabbie had reached 5-box in live play, if the banker would have thrown in the chance of a bonus offer at 4-box if she'd found the 1p or another blue - something we've seen a lot on 1-box games like that, and particularly with players like Gabbie who seem unlikely to go on a gambling streak in that situation. With that in mind, perhaps she did herself a favour by not getting there in live play, particularly if she'd have taken the chance and picked Carlos first!

The way she took her time thinking about the 3rd and 4th offers then she probably would have blown the chances of getting a possible £35,000 if it was her game yesterday.

If it had been her game yesterday, she'd have had first pick of the balls, so she may have had something completely different on the table anyway.

Yes but remember, she could have still picked the £35,000.

Well, good job she didn't play yesterday then!

Sensible call that was the right decision. Well done Gabbie!

There is a way to stop deals being predictable time-wise but that would be straddling games between shows, which after 6 years isn't going to happen now.

An odd sort of game, one of those where at times (all the banter from the Banker trying to get Gabbie and her husband to pick faults with each other), I just wanted to shout "GET ON WITH IT!"""""!

Sensible deal and the kind of 5-box offer (a realistic one rather than the usual inflated £10k+ offer that we sometimes get) that makes my 2-box strategy at 8-box totally justified.

One more thing, I can just about stomach Noel saying that the £100k/£75k finish is the 2nd best one but saying the £75k/£50k one is the 3rd best one is just illogical. The 3rd best one in terms of minimising the gamble perhaps but Noel didn't quantify that.

Or the 1p

Well that was never going to be a big money game and it's frustratingly just short of an OPW but there was a lot of humour there with the Banker's reaction to Gabbie & Will's love-in and the various chicken names, a reasonably entertaing hour though we need a player to get a spanking through a sensible deal soon - if only to shut Mark up :-D
