Recap of tonight's show!

Game #1

Coming back from the previous episode to finish her game is...

Contestant: Heidi Kurtz!

Chosen case: 3

The Board:

-
-
-
-
-
-
-
- $100
-
- $300
- $400
- $500
- $750
---------------
-
-
-
- $25,000
-
-
-
- $200,000
-
- $400,000
- $500,000
- $750,000
-

Banker's offer: $90,000!

NO DEAL!

Round 4: 3 Cases to open

6: $750,000 :( Bad start
1: $5,000
15: $750

Banker's offer: $79,000!

NO DEAL!

Round 5: 2 Cases to open

8: $25,000
25: $400

The Final 6 Cases

- $100
- $300
- $500
- $200,000
- $400,000
- $500,000

Banker's offer: $141,000!

NO DEAL!

Round 6: 1 Case to open

24: $300

Banker's offer: $204,000!

DEAL!

However, was this a good deal and did she get the timing right, considering the board at that time?

Proveout Round 7: 1 Case to open

4: $500,000 :D One of the big cases gone! So far, so good!

Loss of that highest amount will guarantee she would have gotten a lower offer...

Hypothetical Banker's offer: $131,000

Prevout Round 8: 1 Case to open

26: $100

Hypothetical Banker's offer: $191,000 Close, but still on the road to an OPW...

Round 9: 1 Case to open

18: $400,000 :D :D :D YES! YES! YES! OPW!

No Hypothetical Banker's offer here at this point, but it would likely have been in the $90,000 to $100,000 area.

The Final 2 Cases would have been...

- $500
- $200,000

We know that she made the right deal at the right time for an outright player win. However, was it a super sweet win, selling a $500 case for $204,000 or a nice little deal selling a $200,000 case for just $4,000 more?

Howie now opens her case #3 to reveal that her case had contained...

3: $200,000

To prove it, Patricia opens her case to reveal...

9: $500

Game Summary:

Peak offer: $204,000
Case value: $200,000
Prize won: $204,000
Result: Outright Player Win

Game #2

Contestant: Jamar White!

Chosen case: 7!

Round 1: 6 Cases to open

17: $750,000 :( Bad start to this game!
22: $750 Laura doesn't have the Million 3 times in a row at least
8: $50
12: $300
5: $50,000
11: $10,000

Banker's offer: $28,000!

NO DEAL!

Round 2: 5 Cases to open

24: $5
16: $75
19: $1,000,000  Studio goes deathly silent!
13: $0.01 :D That's much, much better! Leyla indeed is Lucky Leyla!
1: $400

Banker's offer: $23,000!

NO DEAL!

Round 3: 4 Cases to open

2: $100,000
15: $1
25: $400,000
10: $75,000

Banker's offer: $38,000!

NO DEAL!

Round 4: 3 Cases to open

20: $200,000
14: $100
18: $500,000 One case game here

The game has really deteriorated here, with $300,000 the only really meaningful amount left

The banker decides to make a derogatory, primitive webpage about Jamar depicting Jamar sponging off his wife, since Jamar said he was a web designer and says his wife is the breadwinner of the family...

Also the banker, obviously punishes him again here because of what he did last round...

Banker's offer: $19,000!

NO DEAL!

Round 5: 2 Cases to open

23: $500
3: $25 :D At least gets to the most important stage of the game keeping the $300,000 there.

The Final 6 Cases

- $10
- $200
- $1,000
- $5,000
- $25,000
- $300,000

The Banker decides to take something out of his sleeve and...

Brings the offer out via Bill Bellamy, a stand-up comic who hosts "Last Comic Standing," since Jamar likes comedy and sometimes dabbles in stand-up comedy.

Banker's offer: $35,000 and a VIP Audition to "Last Comic Standing."

NO DEAL!

Round 6: 1 Case to open

26: $25,000 Last meaningful safety net is gone...

Banker's offer: $41,000!

NO DEAL!

Round 7: 1 Case to open

9: $300,000 :( Officially a trainwreck game! Game over.

Banker's offer: $1,200

NO DEAL!

Round 8: 1 Case to open

4: $1,000

Banker's offer: $1,900

NO DEAL!

Round 9: 1 Case to open

6: $200

Banker's offer: $2,500

NO DEAL!

The Final 2 Cases

- $10
- $5,000

No case switch offer here, so Howie now opens his case #7 to reveal that he won...

7: $10 :( True trainwreck game

To prove it, Tameka opens her case to reveal...

21: $5,000

Game Summary:

Peak offer: $41,000
Case value: $10
Prize won: $10
Result: Outright Banker Win

And this ends the recap! I will post some comments later as replies to this post.

Oh no, looks like Brooks Leach finally has a friend in that $10 Club of his!

Otherwise, it was a a great show. Always great to have another OPW! (Heidi's loud wailing really started to hurt my ears after 10 minutes though!)

You'd find it difficult given it was played over the course of 2 shows.

Ah, yes, another great win followed by an absoulte disaster of a game. The first game was fantastic, whereas the second one featured another $10 idiot who went way too far. Looks like Brooks Leach and this other $10 winner were cut from the same cloth. This guy also violated one of the cardinal rules of USA DoND: Never pick Case 7 and go all the way with it. Same applies to online DoND games. Case 7 is one of at least 4 cases in the gallery that are GLACs, an acronym for Guaranteed Low Amount Cases. These are cases that almost always have a low amount inside, although Case 7 has had Power 7 amounts like $400K and $750K in it a few times, but this occurs much less than having an amount from the left side of the board inside. Case 22 used to hold this dubious honour, but after having the million in it 2 games in a row, it sort of lost its GLAC designation. This recent addition to the $10 Club played a terrible game, and he pressed his luck way too far. I'd have taken the $35,000 combo offer in a heartbeat, but this guy was too stupid to do that. It seems as if he was interested in comedy. Well, it looks like the Banker got the last laugh in that game.

HEY!

Case #7 is the case that least held big amounts. I am always playing BigJon's DEAL OR NO DEAL, an online game and I'd downloaded it for free!!!!

The funny thing is we have the same perception for case #7. It NEVER EVER had the jackpot at least once in my 201 games. Honestly, Case #7 is the case I mostly pick to open in ROUND 1.

As far as I remember the maximum amount it held in BIGJON'S Deal or no deal is $500,000, the jackpot amount at that time is $21,100,000.

As for the US Deal or no deal..... Case #7 is one of the bottom 3 cases and 1 of the cases that we sometimes forget it exist.

Hehehehe

Thank you! Finally, someone else has noticed this about Case 7! It really does contain some of the lowest amounts in it sometimes, thus making it a GLAC. I've played BigJon's doND game as well, and it's always one of the first that I open. It always has something small inside, and almost never features anything higher than $50,000 inside. Even though 7's my favorite number, I rarely choose it as my case, although it does serve as my avatar, which is ironic. Therefore, I say that you should open 7 in the first few rounds, or save it for when you want the bank offen to increase when you're at the point in the game where you have to open one case per round. But never choose it as your own case, because you might end up winning next to nothing if you do.

I according to my case stats: 1, 7, 13 and 24 are the GLACs. Are these the ones you refer to?

Heya!

I agree the GLAC cases are CASE #7, #24, #1 and recently #13. In the early episodes of dealor no deal US case # 13 had high amounts but it submerged this season. I am also a fan of CASE #1. I cannot believe it only chosen once maybe the reason is that it rarely held the top amount. As far as I know Case #1 had the million once this season but throughout deal or no deal history it had the million 4 times.

Case # 24 is surely a poor case. I guess it had the million 2 times this season. Am I right? I remember the unlucky contestant Tommy Turpening who won $200 leave Case #24 and his case in play. Too Bad! Case #24 had 5$. Meghan the one who holds case #24 is least model I like. Maybe she is just noticeable like case #24.

Case #4.... hmmm in the first season held small amounts but it had the jackpot amount 3 times this season...

Case 24 only has had 1 7-figure sum this season, 2 million dollars. At the moment, Meghan isn't holding case 24, it's being held by either Kelly or the very tall model, Heather.

I realize Case #23 is close to be considered as GLAC.

Greeny do you have the penny case chart?

I had seen in wikipedia that Case #4 had the most penny in it, a total of 11 up to now.

As of now in BIGJON's Deal or no deal Case #7 had the top amount twice.

Once on $5.6 million and once on $9.1 million

You're really updated. I'm sure you're dond's fan and thanks for the chart information it really helped me.

The jackpot in BIGJON'S deal or no deal is now $13.5 million...

Greeny, why do love #7? is there a sentimental reason behind this. You cannot answer it if you like.

I don't like 7, I like 11, because it's a lucky number for me, as all special events in the family have occured on the 11th of a month, and the 11th month of the year is when the majority of my relatives' birthdays are.

Anyway, it so upsetting that Case #1 was only chosen once!!! in the entire dond history unlike case # 8 which was chosen 12 times.

I am wondering if the banker tends to play on the emotions of the contestants into luring them into a decision that is purely emotional that pulls the contestant away from "common sense."

I think Jamar's decision to go on in a one case game might have been influenced by the Banker's mocking behavior towards him (almost similar to Uzma's decision to go on after she said the banker insulted her).

Can you compare Jamar (or Uzma) to Fadil? I'd be tempted to say yes, but I think the jury is out on that.

Actually, Joe didn't do this recap. I did the recap, and I was in a hurry since I did it in the morning, and I was in a hurry to finish it, that I didn't double check it.
