Hello, all. We're 4 episodes into DoND Canada, and the Canadian Banker has a record of 4 - 0, which is very disappointing. In fact, just tonight, a contestant from my hometown of Montreal, Canada sold the million-dollar case for $215,000, which, oddly enough, once happened on the USA version as well. For shame. It seems like no one in North America will ever win the million dollars because they're just too chicken to play on, much unlike the players on the UK version, who, in my opinion, are among the gutsiest in the world. Even if the outcome is disastrous (ie: winning 1p), they still play to the very end more often than any of the North American players ever have, or ever will, for that matter. I hope that this will change soon, as it would be nice to see someone go all the way and end up pulling a Michelle Falco, or maybe even doing better than that.

Which case had the $1,000,000 at the table?

It was No. 15. Contestant should have gone on, but I guess some people think that once the offers start getting higher than $200,000, it's time to bail out. As you can see, that's not always the best idea. This kind of thing has happned all over the world at least once, I imagine.

US contestants, I thought, were always risk-taking to a fault. They do seem to be playing more conservatively than before at present, while the UK show has very definitely swung the other way. As for Canada, I think we've seen players getting just the wrong breaks at times. What was the board at the time of the $215k Deal?

Unpredictability in the UK offers compared to those in North America (which are broadly based upon the formula used for the original Dutch version) makes a difference, of course.
