Offer Five: £6,000
DEAL (almost as clear-cut a Deal as Graeme's £41k in my book)

I think a lot of it depends on the amount of money being offered, though, rather than just the generosity relative to the board. I'd be absolutely *beep* devastated if I lost £41k, but I think I could live with losing £6k, even if it had been a very generous offer. To take it to the extreme, an offer of £100 on a 1p/10p/50p/£1/£500 board would be a "clear-cut Deal" in terms of the generosity, but I think most people could probably cope with turning it down!

Exactly - I wouldn't be there for £6,000 so would always turn that amount down as long as it was below the mean! Graeme's £41,000 on the other hand I would have taken instantly.

I think my tipping point for offers like that is about 5k - I'd always have it as a minimum get-out target if my board was getting bad. I'd always no deal £3k on a 10k/blue last pair, but always deal £30k on a £100k/blue last pair, despite equal generosity. I have already said I'd have dealt Pauline's £6k, but I though the £3k on the round before was just as generous ( I remember Giorgio was offered £425 on a similar board), but I'd no deal as it would be below my minimum get-out target! :)

As I said on the game thread, the £6k was a generous offer - but I'd be more disappointed to miss out on £35k than I would to lose it, so I'd be going on at that point.

I see that. I think I'm thinking more about the probabilities involved (I'm thinking I wouldn't gamble the final pair and as such it's a 40% chance of at most £15k against a 60% chance of losing quite a lot of money).

£3,000 would have mildly tempted me, I'll concede. It would have probably been only just shy of my expectations for hitting one of the top two in round four, and it would have been this that would have caused me to take the £7,000! (It couldn't have gone beyond £11,000 even after a perfect round barring an AMO...)

Said it in the today's show forum, based on the money I would have dealt at £7,000, and also at £6,000.

£199.99 is a no deal, as £50 on average is quite a bit to forfeit, and I would have continued after the events before.

I agree with KP and Daniel here. I'd be tempted by offers that are good for the board - but it would have to be a certain amount relative to what my previous offers had been, what my target was and what was left on the board and what the chances of disaster were!

I'd have gone all the way to the end today. £7000 wouldn't have been enough for me, I don't think.

I'm not quite sure about this one, I probably would have taken £6,000, but I would have been sorely tempted to go to the end.

I would have seriously considered the second £24,000 but I think I would have no dealt. If I did no deal it, I would have gone to the end and won a fiver.

I'd have no dealt all the offers until the fourth offer of £24,000, which I would have dealt. Had I no dealt that, I'd have no dealt £900 and dealt £4,444.

I have to admit I'd have considered the third offer of £24,000!
