Well that's spoilt the atmosphere off the show now.

It was fairly obvious he was an actor and didn't make the initial banker decision.

As neefs and a couple of others have said, don't believe everything they print in the papers. It's really a bit of tabloid sensationalisation ( thats a big word!!! did I spell it right?!?)

The theory that the shows producer was the banker has been going around for ages, along with a few other theories.....

Quite! I did wonder when I met the producer chap (at least I think that's who it was) - a shortish Asian chap who said hi, and I thought he was a new player! He made some comment about my preference for bare feet (I got told off for that in the studio) before telling me he was one of the staff!

So I thought "I wonder if that was the banker weighing me up?"

But to be honest when you are there it's easy to think lots of things! You wonder who you will replace, who will replace you, who the banker is, whether they know what's in your box... you just have to relax and let it all go. Does it matter who the banker is?

People have theorised it was Glenn Hugill since the show started. He's the producer of the show.

That's who I thought it could possibly be. If it is him, unless he puts an accent on when he's talking to contestants, it should be obvious as I think he's from Darlington, so he should have a fairly stong accent. Not forced to, mind. Just a thought!

I for one don't care and don't want to know to be honest. I like the mystery.

I agree with that. I'm happy not knowing either.

I used to love the mole, great show.

I would rather believe it was some very snobby old git sitting in a red velvet chair with a smokers jacket and a pipe, and in my head thats the way the image wil stay

If someone could dig up an old Coronation Street clip then wouldn't someone like Bushy be able to say whether the voice matches? :?

If he's an actor he may be good at voices and accents though. If he's speaking as himself and he does have a North-East accent you'd know instantly.

:D
