Well as we know Lucy has finally departed after 50 shows with just a fiver as reward for her efforts. But will we ever see a stay as long as that again? Will they be tempted to keep a willing contestant for 100 shows one day? Or is it a one-off, never to be repeated event and 30 will be about the upper limit in the future?

I'm not sure. I'll stick my hat (which no doubt Bork will want to eat! ) in the ring for the 'maybe' choice. After today's disaster I'd like to think they won't do it again, but you never know!

yep, i remember it. her first show was geordie's show on the 1st Feb. Lucy replaced Mumtaz.

It was blatently obvious that Lucy's show was kind of fixed, if you can see where I'm coming from.

They werent going to let her on any longer and they thought it was probably about time they had someone who appeared for 50 shows, and they could celebrate it etc

Also, the whole present thing with the '50' box. They must have pre-organised that as well as getting John G and Fin into the studio.

The only thing that doesnt sound fixed in relation to Lucys show was the fact she won 10p for every show.

And about 10 seconds before she was selected Noel said "the contestent is chosen completely at random" so much for that eh?

The contestant selected has never been random, I thought this was common knowledge?
