As everyone knows, Geordie played his game on Deal or No Deal yesterday and unfortunately didn't have a great game.

As most people who follow the show will know, on Fridays game Geordie left the studio halfway through the show because he was ill. He didn't return until yesterdays game (although a 3-4 day break in 'our' time it was a day in 'filming' time). When he returned he was chosen to play his game and had a little chat with Noel about his absense, although we never really heard what happened.

When Geordie played his game, he seemed very quiet and not quite the 'usual' enthusiastic Geordie many people have seen over the last 20 odd shows he's appeared on.

I've heard today that there was an article in The Sun in Scotland about Geordie's game and what happened behind the scenes. I have been in contact with Geordie today and he kindly arranged a copy of the article for me.

I have put a scan of the article up on imageshack if you are interested in reading the full article.

When you first click on that link you are shown a largish scan of the article, if you find it difficult to read just click anywhere on the image of the article and it will expand to show it full size.

I hope you find it as interesting as I did, it certainly explains the rather subdude Geordie we saw yesterday. It will be interesting to hear your thoughts on the article.

From your contact with him, Geordie backs this up, does he?

Yes Andy, Geordie (Gerry) spoke to The Sun and contributed to the article. He has joined the forum, so hopefully he'll drop by and tell us more about it.

Yeah, I wouldn't really trust the Sun as gospel though, but like you said, hopefully Geordie will come on here and let us know more about it.

I'm sorry but what a sore looser. If he was that ill he didn't need to go back on the show, he wasn't forced too and they couldn't force him if they wanted too.

I bet if he won £250,000 he wouldn't complain!

I have all but abandonned Digital Spy due to the 'fractious' nature of some of the regular posters ! I just don't have the energy to be that intense 100% of the time.

For the record Geordie - I for one was sorry that you didn't get the treatment you needed immediately but am very glad that at least something bad came out of something good and they have realised their mistake and changed their policy.

Can I come to fatboy slim please ? :-D

Neefie xx

I don't mean to cause offence. It's just the way I was bought up in the 50's.

None taken. Only one person really knows - ME.
And I would have done exactly the same.
In fact with that kind of dosh - I would have paid for an advert !

Now I've found this forum, I don't bother with DS now. You miss one day and you have to scroll through 10 pages of nonsense.

So have I. I've not been on there since after Mike's game when I saw all the abuse he got. I know some people weren't keen on him, but still, I thought the coments were a little OTT.

:D

The amount of jeering and sneering and "I hope they win 1p" I've seen all over the place...

And, oddly enough, all from teenagers!

I know- I don't believe there's any need for it at all. I used to go on there all the time at one point, but not any more. I can't even remember my password- not that I want to, mind!

Some of the Mike-bashing was unreal!

Exactly. We all get along just fine without resorting to contestant-bashing and other chicanery!
