Can you think of any?

I'm sure there was one in October 2012 someone called Usher or something like that she had a all red 5 box and she won £1,000 in the end. Is this one?

Any game in mid-2008 where a player dealt with a strong board and had a big amount on the table

MOST games where the player dealt at 5 box or earlier were depressing to the forum back then, even if they dealt at good offers for the board and the player didn't squander a big red.

I remember £11k Gary and £10k Slim were both given the "ho hum" treatment even though they both dealt at VERY generous offers (both of which I unquestionably would've taken), there was some comedy in both games, both of them didn't miss out on much and both ended up selling a blue. The main contributor to this gloomy attitude was the run of poor games in general throughout mid-2008.

'Most were depressing to the forum back then!'

You weren't even here.

Like Tom Hanks and his football on that island in 'Cast Away', it looks like it's just me and the bots here now. But that's alright, we're having a grand old time. Aren't we, Wilson? WILSOOOON?!

A few of us who were once part of the furniture, once stalwarts of the grand and extravagant, exuberant and thriving forum, have receded back into the walls, still faintly visible, still here as poignant, reminding relics of an era gone by; but most of us have vanished, forever immersed in the mists of time.

I think the late 2007-mid 2008 era was the worst period for this forum. The show hit a very noticeable rough patch during this period with an abundance of cautious deals, trainwrecks, sob-stories and players becoming more cautious, even negative at times and it just caused the forum to go into a depressed mode really, made worse by the now-banned 'wakey clones' on here who got uptight whenever someone dealt too early :(

Also, the show hit a bit of a bumpy patch in March/Early April 2007 when people on here were just getting sick of blue chants, Noel guilt-tripping players who dealt too early, there not being enough characters on the show, inflated, sometimes above-the-mean proveout offers to add to Noel's aggressiveness, and a run of bad games from Betty-Tanweer, where Joe was the only player to have an OPW, and the two highest wins from that run (Steven and Kelsie) were the most slated games (Also, i couldn't believe how up in arms people were getting over which genders stood in what positions, especially as that era saw Rich become the first man to stand in E11!)
