Marlene mentioned in her show today that she played a Deal or No Deal 'app' on her phone and won £118,000. The only app I can find even slightly related to the show is the Paddy Power one which is completely different to the actual game. Help me out?

There was a Deal or No Deal game app around a few years ago on iOS. I still have it on my iPod, not sure if it's still available.

I'm pretty sure Noel would be horrified to see what he looked like. Those graphics look AWFUL! :o

Thanks for the link, but the game mustn't be available anymore as I can't find it on the App Store. :(

The Noel model is hilarious. I particularly love how his figure gestures so as to show shock/joy etc. at the box you've just opened, but his expression remains the same regardless.

On the plus side though it does have a couple of the incidental 'decision' tracks in it though, and the Banker music.

Yeah, the animations and graphics look terrible but it is the only proper mobile Deal or No Deal game and does look quite fun.

This part of the review made me laugh so much:

Quote:
The £250,000 explosion is present and correct, although for some reason Noel does a 60s dance. I think it’s meant to be a brow wipe of exasperation, and is the most animated he’ll get all game.

Haha! It is a good review. I concur about the bit where Noel suddenly yells "hundred thousand" at you too. It's the only voice clip of his in the game as far as I know and so is a bit of a shock!

As I didn't watch the show... did she say what two amounts left at the end was?

Apparently she said they were the same amounts as in the actual show (£35k and £250k) but it was edited out.

Well all the signs were there that it was going to happen for real, but probably didn't think it was.

YEP! I think it was mentioned just after the cameras stopped rolling actually, I'm not sure whether she was purposefully keeping it to herself, or so caught up in the moment that she'd initially forgotten what finish she'd had on the app!

EDIT: And the first game I played on the Deal App after this game, I won £250k! In fact, I very covertly told Marlene about it!

The only Android app I saw for a while, a couple of years back now I think, was a port of the Dilan game.

I initially assumed that she had played that, and got £118k on blue/250k, until I heard the comment about this finish! (And a Dilan offer on that finish would probably have been even higher than £118k!!)

There is only one game that I know of on Android is from the Paddy Power site... the tablet I had before this one it wasn't compatible... haven't tried it on this one yet.

Also you can play it free online at www.wedigtv.com - (3d version, has ads two ads which can't be skipped, well they did before it was password protected which I don't know what it is).

A Google search came up with this site: http://jaildog.vo.llnwd.net/o16/ivbg/os/v024/os/

Click Network Guide to skip the intro and then click the same button again and you should be on the DOND game! :D

Aw it crashed just as I was getting to the offer. :(
I found the 1p in the first box too.

Yeah, we've known about this for a while but it often cuts to a black screen half way through every game you play. Annoying because the game is quite fun despite Noel's horrible acting and irrelevant script.
