As from October 29th (First halloween show, recorded today - 1/10/12) Deal or No Deal is being recorded in HD!! The Steadicam is much smaller for John Clark to carry around, although not managed to corner him yet to ask if lots lighter. Late finish today due to game and person falling ill (actually F&F) in audience.

DoND in HD? Should be interesting to those who have HDTV (I don't, yet).

Possible a subtle hint that the show will continue into the new year. Surely, they wouldn't make that decision if the show was only staying until the end of the year.

Now ive seen the studio "undressed" after the themed shows, the main change to be filmed in HD seems to be that the main studio floor has been stained to be darker and slightly shiny. The walk of wealth and around the table is still the same old colour, so now stands out more. Nothing else appears to have changed!

Any of the newbies this week played in the Halloween specials?

Anyway, it should be interesting to see this in HD. It's taken nearly 7 years for them to decide to do that!

It was going to happen at some point. I expect Countdown will be in HD too at some point soon.

I don't see why they should bother. The only thing in that show that would benefit from a higher resolution picture would be Riley.

In fact, with Hewer exuding all the charisma and warmth of a condescending Deputy Headteacher and the fact that most of the elderly audience are driven to catching their afternoon nap during the show's duration, I can't see the thing lasting much longer at all.

Interesting that the textured walls and everything have been retained, as I'm sure I remember John saying they'd have to go for HD recording. Evidently not!

I was surprised to see them there! Though they appear to have changed the lighhting a little. more red on the walls i believe, so that may overcome that problem.

Did anyone see that very short bit about an hour ago on the Step Up To Cancer?

The player who was in the seat had JM on the name tag (or from what I could see)... is he an upcoming player? Needs to be confirmed.
