It was very good! I was totally fooled, and like Noel, I thought it was remarkable that the worst possible opening round should happen on such a milestone show. I immediately thought of the Catherine Tate Comic Relief sketch, whereby 'Nan' had the same opening round, but I still didn't twig that it was a set-up!

Call me cynical - but after 3 boxes, I had an inkling they were a prank (mainly because I didn't believe the reactions of the players were real - although only Lara actually knew of the 23 people on the studio floor)

I twigged just after the £250,000 was revealed, it was just a case of waiting to see when the the game would be up and who was the fool-ee. But up until that point... absolutely stunned. I just couldn't believe it, too astonishing to be true... which of course it was ;)

It was brilliant and I was crying with everyone else

Great to see Mark on screen again :D

I know it's possible of course, my comment about it being 'too incredible to be true' was because it literally wasn't true !

The odds of taking out the Power 5 in Round 1 are of course 1 in 26,344.

In ascending order though ?

Over 3 million to 1.

It still took me until the 5th box to twig though, which surprised me a bit. Just goes to show how well Lara acted ! :D

Of course the probability of any specific opening round is over 3 million to 1, but since every game has an opening round, we see a 3 million to 1 shot every single game. The 'fake' opening round was no more unlikely than the real opening round that followed it, so why shouldn't people believe it. I know I did.

I still loved the set-up though.
