...Is not actually referred to as the 'Bankers Gamble' anymore.

Noticed this in Lee's game yesterday and also Ali's game a few weeks back. In both cases Noel just explained the terms of the offer and then asked 'Deal or No Deal', rather than 'Bankers Gamble.. Deal or No Deal' as has always been the case previously.

Just wondering...

Maybe they can't use the term 'gamble' so implicitly now following the Gambling commission probe... :P

Although if what JohnBristol1966 has said on here is any guide, this week's games are actually the last ones to be recorded before that!

Did the "BANKER'S GAMBLE" graphic appear on-screen?

this is true, these shows are the last recorded before that headline hit the papers. Sundays show is in fact the last one. Mondays show was recorded 5 weeks later! Of course the editing for todays show was done after the headlines!

I'm going to contact Central TV, just to make sure they edit the reference to the 'gamble' out on all future Challenge airings of Bullseye.

THIS CAN NOT GO ON! :smt011

For the record, i dont believe the gamblers commission had any bearing on the filming break, or altertations to dond. Red or Black that was also in the story had a series commissioned 2 days after the story broke! I believe the break was for illness from Noel, followed by a mixture of tech difficulties and the illness of another key person, possibly the banker who also went very quiet on twitter for ages.

Hmm... Well, Red or Black is adding more of a 'skill' element to its new series, it will be quite changed from the 1st series being purely gambly. I think it's too much of a coincidence that it's SUDDENLY not mentioned when the GC were in discussions at time of filming... :ponder:

Or to be more exact pure luck seeing as there wasn't actually any gambling, and indeed the game worked in that way on purpose. But yes there's meant to be actual judgement at every turn this time, endgame included.

There's definitely a gap before editing, in fact at least two people here saw a recording with me in April that HAD to be edited no earlier than the second half of May...
