OK, OK, OK! We get it! Chill! :eyes: :eyes: :eyes: Image Image Image Image

I still say, though, that the last "Gold Medal Special" will air at the weekend... it may be scheduled for a Sunday, but it's not beyond possibility that C4 could move it to Saturday at the last minute.

After all, the moving of the last few weekend episodes to Saturday (and Tom's game on 21 April to a lunchtime slot, before the racing) was sudden and unexpected, wasn't it? :eyes: :eyes: Image Image

Why moan about not having a break? Do you get fed up of it? It pretty obvious that "season breaks" are faked anyway, as the last show of one season was filmed immediately before the first show of the next series!! the real breaks show up when one day Noel doesnt have a beard and the next he does!! Thats what happens after the real break in filming for the summer!

The summer break may be artificial ("faked" is just that bit too strong a word, don't you think...?) but it has been around in some form for the past six years.

And most forum members, including myself, are used to it and aren't really fed up of it. :eyes: Image

As I said, maybe this move was coming after last summer's break was cut short - but it still feels sudden. :eyes: :eyes: :eyes:

The last Gold Medal is planned for Sun 29th July (at the time of recording) and is a memorable show. As for the lack of a break...hmm, it may have its upsides.

Dont ask for any more info on those comments as it wont be forthcoming!!! lol

A number of networks will lose ratings because of the Olympics this year. I think the lack of a summer break comes down to money. DOND has been a consistent ratings performer for Channel 4 even if not at the levels of 2006, and they can' t afford to lose too much advertising revenue over the summer.
