Here's one for the statsmen...

How much money would the show have given out if every single player in the history of the show had got the most money possible out of the game? This could be either by dealing the peak offer, opening the box to the peak of their game or swapping for the peak of the game.

Maybe we should do this in steps.

£250,000 times the number of regular games there has been plus £500,000 times 4 (I think), since theoretically the highest value box could be avoided and swapped for, and then no-dealt to the end. Yes I know it sounds ridiculous but I'm applying the same sort of logic another member of this forum seems to. :laughing

I'm sure Mister Al could tell you fairly easily.

A quick check of my spreadsheet says that the maximum possible win so far is £75,681,305.66 versus an actual win of £28,596,382.93

Other stats:
Possible £250k winners: 83
Minimum win: £250

1st offer deals: 83
2nd offer deals: 121
3rd offer deals: 196
4th offer deals: 221
5th offer deals: 403
4-box deals: 1
3-box deals: 12
6th offer deals: 278
Opening the box: 456
Swapping at the end: 67

(These stats do not include hypo-swaps, as I have ignored them on my spreadsheet)

No wonder Noel keeps banging on about no male jackpot winner!

Assuming that the possible £250k winners were split fairly evenly between men and women, only 10% of women who could have won £250k have done. Admittedly, that's 10% more than the figure for men but it's still relatively low.
