People might have felt a bit deflated after the elation of last night's show to the relative disappointment of this one in terms of financial success.

It's the moment you've all been waiting for!!! Yes, it's The 2006 Hallowe'en HugWatch!!!

(Improvise some kind of tune) Every one needs a hug once in a while, a hug can do wonders! (Insert one of those traiangle instrument things!)When your feeling down a hug is all you need. So hug hug hug until your arms drop off...

Give me an H! H!
Give me a U! U!
Give me a G! G!
Give me a W! W!
Give me an A! A!
Give me a T! T!
Give me a C! C!
Give me an H! H!

What does that spell? HugWatch!

YAY!!! Hallowe'en proved to be a hugging haven!!! Following her £50 win, Spiky Sandra was in need of a hug. Mark raced to the Pound Table in all his spooky glory, closely followed by Helen. Both gave heavenly hugs at Hallowe'en!!!

The rest of the Pumpkin Box Gang arrived thick and fast and there were some Cutilicious Cuddles from Kelly, Madeleine and Alasdair to name a few. Not so spooky is the HugWatch Leader Board:

Sunday 29th October, 5.55pm: Helen
Sunday 29th October, 8.00pm: Kelly
Monday 30th October: Mark
Tuesday 31st October: Mark

Will Helen beat Mark in the Hug Race? Will Ned or Alasdair be crowned HugWatch King? Will Kelly win the Stakes once more? Find out in the first ever November instalment of HugWatch....

(Piano)
Who will be the first to embrace?
Who will win the mighty race?
East or West?
Who's the best?
Helen or Mark?
Ooh, who's got the spark?
Howard or Ned?
Who'll be ahead?
Will Rachael rush to congratulate
Or will she commiserate?
(Fading piano)

HugWatch ohh yey!

And in a further attempt to sabotage Hugwatch, they now dress the players up in masks and costume! Credit to David for spotting who was who! :-D

Helen or Mark?
Ooh, who's got the spark?

with...

Helen or Nalini?
Fancy a Panini?

or not... :?

Rather late I know but here's November's first HugWatch Report!!!

HugWatch!

After dominating the HugWatch Stakes for most of his time on the West Wing, Mark played his game and Alasdair finally was able to win the Hug Race. He did so by sprinting from the end of the West Wing and giving Mark a chummy manly hug.

The West Wing's resident Welshwoman Amanda closely followed with a cutilicious cuddle and the rest of the West Wingers and the East Wing Gang then arrived at the Pound Table to give more hugs and kisses.

So, long live Mark, HugWatch King on so many occasions!!! Here's the Leader Board:

Sunday 29th October, 5.55pm: Helen
Sunday 29th October, 8.00pm: Kelly
Monday 30th October: Mark
Tuesday 31st October: Mark
Wednesday 1st November: Alasdair

YAY!!! Alasdair's finally won the HugWatch Stakes but will he do so again? Will Amanda or Ned seal a victory? Will Helen or Kelly do the East Wing Gang proud? Find out the answers to these questions and more in Thursday's instalment of the Big HW....

(Piano)
Who will be the first to embrace?
Who will win the mighty race?
East or West?
Who's the best?
Helen or Mark?
Ooh, who's got the spark?
Howard or Ned?
Who'll be ahead?
Will Rachael rush to congratulate
Or will she commiserate?
(Fading piano)

HugWatch ohh yey!

Time for Thursday's edition of good ol' HugWatch!!! :-D

HugWatch!

Karen's bubbly and radiant game ended with a really radiant round of the HugWatch Stakes today. Determined to win the crown again, Alasdair rushed to the Pound Table to give fellow Scot Karen a hug. Helen closely followed with another radiant hug and there was more of the same from Gaz, Kelly and Amanda.

By this time, the rest of the West Wingers and the East Wing Gang were gathered round the Pfundtisch but Nalini seemed to be walking away from it!!!

Unbelievable!!! Here's the Leader Board:

Sunday 29th October, 5.55pm: Helen
Sunday 29th October, 8.00pm: Kelly
Monday 30th October: Mark
Tuesday 31st October: Mark
Wednesday 1st November: Alasdair
Thursday 2nd November: Alasdair

Will Alasdair make it a hat-trick? Will Helen beat him in the race for the HugWatch Crown? Will Rachael do a Lisa and sprint quickly enough from her position on the East Wing to win the Stakes? Find out in what I hope will be Friday's thrilling instalment of HugWatch....

(Piano)
Who will be the first to embrace?
Who will win the mighty race?
East or West?
Who's the best?
Helen or Alasdair?
Ooh, who'll be the quickest there?
Howard or Ned?
Who'll be ahead?
Will Rachael rush to congratulate
Or will she commiserate?
(Fading piano)

HugWatch ohh yey!

Late again but here is Friday's instalment of HugWatch:

(Improvise some kind of tune) Every one needs a hug once in a while, a hug can do wonders! (Insert one of those traiangle instrument things!)When your feeling down a hug is all you need. So hug hug hug until your arms drop off...

Give me an H! H!

Following a disappointing £1 win for Howard, there didn't seem to be much enthusiasm for giving hugs today. Alasdair was the first to arrive at the Pound Table but he only shook Howard's hand so the HugWatch Crown goes to Helen who sprinted from the end of the West Wing to give a top notch hug.

The rest of the West Wingers and the East Wing Gang then consoled Howard but didn't give any hugs just a rub on the arm until Kelly got in with another cutilicious cuddle. Here's Friday's HugWatch Leader Board:

Sunday 29th October, 5.55pm: Helen
Sunday 29th October, 8.00pm: Kelly
Monday 30th October: Mark
Tuesday 31st October: Mark
Wednesday 1st November: Alasdair
Thursday 2nd November: Alasdair
Friday 3rd November: Helen

Will there be some competition between Alasdair and Helen for the HugWatch Crown in the shows to come? Will Ned or Ian be in the running for the title of HugWatch King? Will Kelly win the race once more? Find out in the Sunday edition of HugWatch....

(Piano)
Who will be the first to embrace?

Remember, remember the 5th of November. Time to light the HugWatch rocket and launch it!!! Here's a sparkling report!!!

(Improvise some kind of tune) Every one needs a hug once in a while, a hug can do wonders! (Insert one of those traiangle instrument things!)When your feeling down a hug is all you need. So hug hug hug until your arms drop off...

Give me an H! H!

Give me an A! A!
Give me a T! T!
Give me a C! C!
Give me an H! H!

What does that spell? HugWatch!

At the end of Kelly's rather extraordinary game, there was a big rush to give her a hug. Alasdair had the spark as he was the first to rush to the Pound Table and give Kelly a hug. Amanda closely followed with another cutilicious cuddle.

The rest of the West Wingers and the East Wing Gang had rocketed over to congratulate Kute Kelly and there were further hugs and kisses from Helen, Mary and Ian to name a few.

So, Alasdair is today's King of HugWatch but will he sparkle again tomorrow? Will Helen, Ian, Ned or Amanda beat him to it? Find out in Monday's HugWatch report complete with Leader Board....

(Piano)
Who will be the first to embrace?

The first instalment of a triple-bill of HugWatch!!! Here's Monday's report:

(Improvise some kind of tune) Every one needs a hug once in a while, a hug can do wonders! (Insert one of those traiangle instrument things!)When your feeling down a hug is all you need. So hug hug hug until your arms drop off...

Give me an H! H!
Give me a U! U!
Give me a G! G!
Give me a W! W!
Give me an A! A!
Give me a T! T!
Give me a C! C!
Give me an H! H!

What does that spell? HugWatch!

As Gaz was a popular and long-serving contestant, it was no surprise that there was a crazy rush to get to the Pound Table to congratulate him on his £10,000 win. Helen rushed like the Speed of Light from the East Wing and gave him a heavenly hug.

Alasdair closely followed with a more manly hug and the rest of the West Wingers and the East Wing Gang piled in thick and fast to dish out more hugs, kisses and handshakes. Ned and Amanda were the next to stand out with cutilicious cuddles. Finally, Peter strolled very casually and was last in the Stakes

For the very first time this week here's the HugWatch Leader Board:

Sunday 5th November: Alasdair
Monday 6th November: Helen

So Helen is Queen of HugWatch today but will she win the HW Stakes tomorrow? Will Alasdair do Scotland proud again? Will Welsh Girl Amanda be victorious? Will Liverpudlian Sage Ned win the crown? Find out in what I hope will be another thrilling edition of HugWatch....

(Piano)
Who will be the first to embrace?
Who will win the mighty race?
East or West?
Who's the best?
Helen or Alasdair?
Ooh, who'll be the quickest there?
Amanda or Ned?
Who'll be ahead?
Will Rachael rush to congratulate
Or will she commiserate?
(Fading piano)

And here's Tuesday's report:

(Improvise some kind of tune) Every one needs a hug once in a while, a hug can do wonders! (Insert one of those traiangle instrument things!)When your feeling down a hug is all you need. So hug hug hug until your arms drop off...

Give me a U! U!

Give me a W! W!
Give me an A! A!
Give me a T! T!
Give me a C! C!
Give me an H! H!

What does that spell? HugWatch!

Following her disappointing game, Katy was in need of a hug and, just like yesterday, Helen raced to the Pound Table like Speedy Gonzales and gave her a well-deserved hug. Tony from the West Wing closely followed with a quality cuddle and the rest of the Gang, notably Irish Gal Mary, dished out more hugs and kisses. Finally, David the Newbie was last in the Stakes and showed off his Not So Quick Crutching Action.

Here's the Leader Board:

Sunday 5th November: Alasdair
Monday 6th November: Helen
Tuesday 7th November: Helen

Woah, Helen's Queen of HugWatch for the second time this week!!! Will she make it a hat-trick? Will Alasdair stop her in her tracks? Will Ned be triumphant? Will Amanda or Ian be first-time winners of the HugWatch Crown? Find out the answers to all these questions and more in Wednesday's instalment of good ol' HugWatch....

(Piano)
Who will be the first to embrace?
Who will win the mighty race?
East or West?
Who's the best?
Helen or Alasdair?
Ooh, who'll be the quickest there?
Amanda or Ned?
Who'll be ahead?
Will Rachael rush to congratulate
Or will she commiserate?
