A lot of deals recently have been called the worst deal ever, but what do you think is the absoloute WORST deal ever?

The most obvious ones are £1,000 (Michael), £7,700 (Steve) and £3,000 (Hayley) for me...

Beryl > Michael > Steve > Hayley.

They get worse over time...

I think Michael's deal of £1,000 is the worst of all time. Beryl's £3,100 third offer deal is the 2nd worst as far as I'm concerned. The recent ones are more likely to stick in my mind, but I think I'll still remember them for quite a while as some were pretty lame deals! And those are Steve's £7,700 and Hayley's £3,000.

I wouldn't class Kelsie and Kathleen as doing really bad deals, as at least they dealt for what is undoubtedly life-changing people to many people. However, most people wouldn't call low four-figures "life-changing". I do emphasise the word "most" there, and respect those who do see it as life-changing. But for me, it's not, and therefore the low-four-figure deals like Michael's and Steve's are far worse than Kelsie's and Kathleen's deals.

Haha, I was thinking of starting this thread... The biggest "cop-out" ever.

Michael, Hayley and Steve from earlier this week.

(Kelsie, Kathleen and Elaine were bad but were for substantial sums, so nowehere near the worst ever)

Michael's, Steve's, £14,900 Alex's, JT's Kelsie's and Kathleen's deals were all... quite odd, but I could at least justify them in some way.

Michael had a decent chance of taking £100k out in the following round, where he'd have been left with all blues.

Steve had a good chance of creating a one box game at 5 box, where I wouldn't put it past the banker to give a forcing offer, as did Alex.

£29,000, £39,000 and £45,000 are all huge amounts of money.

The worst deal for me is Hayley's deal today, but I'm not going to say she deserved to lose, because in my opinion, she didn't... I don't think anyone deserves to lose based on the way they played a game...

No doubt a couple of the usual suspects will rip me to pieces for saying that now...

Same here actually. I know Kelsie, Kathleen etc. get criticised but at least they actually dealt for huge sums of money...those amounts were just pathetic in comparison to what was left on the board. Beryl's the only other similar one I can think of.

That makes it look like a justifiable deal. I think it was actually the £250,000 instead of £35,000...

Like I said, these people have dealt at the wrong time and there was nothing we could do about it :?

Hayley's deal today was just pathetic, as was Michael's last year, and Steve's was not good earlier this week, but out of those 3, Hayley's was the worst.

Nope, the 250k was in box 11 in Beryl's game.

No it was £250k instead of £15k. She took it out in round 5 and had the £15k in her box.

The worst Deal ever? Easy. Michael's. He even had high blues!

I feel punch-drunk with dreadful deals. Time was we got a truly awful deal every now and then. These days its every other show and this week we've had 3 shockers in a row.

Its hard to judge recent deals against those in the past because time dims the memory and softens their true awfulness. However Michael's is up there as is Kelsie's and I remember being angry at Bullsh*t Phil though his wasn't in the same league as today's debacle.

My League of Shame:

1. Hayley (£3000)
2. Michael (£1000)
3. Steve (£7700)
4. Kelsie (£29,000)

Oh Steven's wasn't even in the top 40, it was only a shock because he said he'd go on with three of the power 5 intact and it was in a Wakey era! I'd only have turned it down because of the expectation of a near-mean offer later on in the game!
