There's been lots of games which have been horrible viewing where the contestant has won next to nothing of course, but as the least favourite games thread shows, winning a respectable amount of money doesn't necessarily mean that won't be the case. Whether it was a disastrous early deal or a player pushing their luck too far then cutting their losses and scoring a dreadful OPL - or even going all the way with a big sum of money only to swap it away! So which of these takes the prize?
Clare (£1,500, April 2006) - A strong game and bubbly character ends up with a tearful ending and a deal to avoid a blue win.
Dot (£3,100, April 2006) - In the same week, Dot could have been the first second-offer dealer but wanted to give the audience more of a game - and surely regretted it.
Stevie (1) (£1,300, June 2006) - It was going so well with strong early offers, before she pushed it too far and to make things even worse dealt for the OPL at the end.
"Swappy" Matt (2) (£5,000, September 2006) - Showed the courage to go all the way with £50,000 in his box, only to give it away for just £5,000.
"Swappy" Barbara (3) (£1,000, October 2006) - As if Matt's swap wasn't bad enough, Barbara outdid it a few weeks later. She'd had blue, she'd had blue, she'd had blue... so she gave away her £100,000 box.
Ingerlise (£15,000, December 2006) - First £250,000 on the table for months, but we wished it had stayed away after watching this one.
Donna (3) (£21,000, December 2006) - And this one outdid Ingerlise's, not in terms of the prize but with Donna's reaction to the unfolding post-deal "dream scenario" finish.
Christine (£6,000, March 2007) - A horrendous OPL at a time when it seemed no contestant could do a thing right. Took £6k from the apparent wreckage of her game only to find £100,000 in her box.
Lynn (2) (£1,000, May 2007) - So entertaining in the wings and early in her game, she regretted turning down £15,000 when the game fell apart next round, and could barely find it in her to complete the game and take £1,000 next offer.
Paul B (£1,000, June 2007) - Turned down his Manchester United "dream prize" to chase the money, but saw it all fall apart and went away with only £1,000.
Brunhilde (£2,000, October 2007) - Looking for money for her sick daughter, she turned down £20,000 before the game crashed and to make matters worse took a £2,000 final offer OPL deal.
