The odds of not having the £250k (or any box) for 5 consecutive shows is (25/26) ^ 5 is about 82.2%.

25/26? Surely that should be 21/22, which gives a 79.24% chance of not having any box in 5 consecutive shows. Therefore about 21 out of every 100 newbies, or 1 in 5 would be expected to get the £250K in their first 5 shows.

The boxes are picked at random in front of the audience just before the game begins anyway, so any variation from this average is not sinister, can anybody easily analyse the stats to see what the percentage actually is on DOND to date?

Oops, had a late night brain fart then. Obviously we don't have 26 boxes.
