The bold highlights the amount that hasn't been had by a newbie for the longest time. Kirsty last had the £5 000 in Jamie's game.

This is something which was apparent in the earlier days of the show - but then the trend seemed to wear off. Noel would often mention about the newbie having big numbers - but he stopped doing it when they didn't seem to any more. Looks like the trend may be making a (un-welcome or welcome?) re-appearance!

Am I right in thinking the last person to have £250,000 on their first show was Paul H? He was ages ago...someone needs to do it soon!!

Well a period of newbies bringing out low numbers must happen then or the laws of physics don't work or The programme is lying about the fact that the boxes are randomly allocated and needs investigating.

Nothing mystic at all.

How does physics have anything to do with odds and box values?

Maybe it shouldn't be the 'curse' of the newbie anymore, just shows how quickly the trend can change, and that it doesn't seem to be that mixed; lots of big numbers, then all of a sudden, lots of small ones....

It wasn't long ago if I remember rightly.

Jo also had the £ 250,000 today in her 2nd show.

Yep - Sal (on the 19th and 20th July) and Gary (on the 27th and 28th November).

Well it's not their fault, if their first box is a red, it's just the way that the 22 boxes are set-up regardless of who opens it
