After Ammarah's game on 12/10/2010, thought I'd keep a record of all the twists in the game, seeing as it's becoming very frequent for the game to be changed. A bit like quantative easing, really - doesn't work first time? Have more of it, then. :P

Twists are considered any deviations to the game from normal rules, such as swaps replacing offers, unconventional offers, additional offers etc, and anything that could be described as excessive interference in the game's proceedings. Theme weeks are excluded (save for a description of what the changes are), as the twists are known in advance. The list covers season 6 onwards.

In chronological order:

Aug 2010

23/08 Kevin's 4th offer was £12,500, then raised to £12,500 + cake for his son, which he dealt. If Kevin had an all blue round the offer would have doubled, and if he found it with the 1p, it would have been £30,000.

25/08 Paul's 4th, 5th and 6th offers respectively were "A model turkey", "Roast Pigeon", and a "Fried egg".

27/08 Danny's 2nd offer raised from £11,007 to £12,007.

29/08 Maria's 2nd offer was the swap, which she declined.

Sep 2010

06/09 James dealt £17,000 at the 5th offer. Declined the Banker's Gamble with £50 and £50,000 remaining, had the £50k in his box.

10/09 Kenny's 1st offer was the swap, which he took.

12/09 Letty's 5th offer was £8,500, raised to £9,500, then raised to £10,500, on condition of giving the banker a photo of her in a bikini, which she declined.

13/09 Andy played a normal game, while the banker offered the chance for contestants on the wings to win some money if they could find the £250,000 in their box. This continued after Andy dealt the 3rd offer, and was withdrawn at 8-box. Howie found the £250,000, but won nothing. (This became a running gag, as Howie was given several opportunities to win money in later games, but kept missing the chance. He was eventually given £200 in a later twist on 29/09 before his game.)

14/09 Justin dealt £21,000 at the 5th offer. Declined the Banker's Gamble with £250 and £75,000 remaining, had £250 in his box.

15/09 Janet's 5th offer was £4,000, raised to £4,500 after she negotiated with the banker, which she dealt.

16/09 Max's 5th offer was £4,000, and was told if he no dealt and the 1st box he opens is a blue (2/5 chance) the banker would call back and make another offer, but if it were red Max would have played on as normal. He dealt, and took out a red next box.

22/09 Ian's 5th offer was £3,000, and was told if he no dealt, he could open one more box before the next offer, but that box had to be box 4 (Howie's box). Ian no dealt, and found 10p in box 4.

24/09 Lisa dealt £12,000 at the 5th offer. Declined the Banker's Gamble with £750 and £50,000 remaining, had the £50k in her box.

30/09 Erica's 1st offer was the swap, which she accepted.

Oct 2010

01/10 Robbie's 4th offer was £20,000. If he no dealt, and had an all-blue round (4/56 chance), he would receive an offer of £45,000. This was then changed to £50,000, then £55,000, then £60,000 (highest 5-box average possible was £64,100). Robbie dealt, took 2 blues and the lowest red, with a proveout offer of £47,000.

03/10 Bharti dealt £21,000 at the 5th offer. Declined the Banker's Gamble with 50p and £75,000 remaining. After being given a hypothetical swap question, she declined. Noel swapped the box anyway, based on a belief about the other box with numerical meaning to her. Her original box had £75,000.

04/10 Howie's 1st offer was the swap, which he accepted. He received the chance at 5-box to open one box at a time, if he reduced the value of all blues to £0 (4 blues and £50,000 on board), which he also accepted.

10/10 Anji's 6th offer was the swap, which she took.

11/10 Martin no dealt the 6th offer. Fadi on the wings suggested for the banker to pay for Martin's telephone tattoo, worth £150. If Martin had £500 in his box, the banker would make it £650, but if were 50p, Martin would leave with nothing. £500 was in his box, so he left with £650.

12/10 Ammarah's 3rd offer was £22,000. Because Noel was steadily raising expectations of what the offer would be before saying it, suggesting higher amounts, Ammarah's mum interjected that she thought it would be £24,000. The offer was then raised to that amount. Her mum also mentioned about having to open 4 boxes, which Noel corrected her on. The banker decided that Ammarah would have to open 4 boxes - a first for the show. Ammarah no dealt.

Debs on the wings suggested at 7-box for Ammarah to open 1 box before receiving the next offer, which the banker agreed to. Another offer was given at 5-box, which the banker then stated that he didn't want to further change the rules for this game.

13/10 Chris' 4th offer was £11,500, raised to £14,000, then raised to £17,000.

One correction - Bharti bought the 50p to the table originally (this, of course, was why there was so much fuss - the swap facilitated a guilt trip after an OPW.

I'd love to see this all the way from 2005 (if anyone has a spare 357934574903568 hours) :D
