There have now been 31 distinct blocks (of 10 shows or more) of consecutive red money wins (i.e. by dealing at, or going to the end of the game and winning an amount of £1,000 or more) - as listed below.

It's not really surprising that at the top is an era from when the show started - when people were less likely to gamble to the end, to avoid being the first blue winner.

Shows 1 - 25 is the longest block of red wins, and during this period, there were many deals of relatively low red amounts to prevent blue wins. Nowadays, there are many more gamblers, and as such, these don't always pay off, meaning there are fewer blocks of red wins these days.

The figure on the left is the number of shows in the block, the current block is in bold.

We are now on the 2nd longest ever run of red wins since the show began! The first spot going to the first 25 shows, which were all wins of £1,000 or more... the last blue win we had was Don with £100 on 10th of January... over 3 weeks as of tomorrow!

Let's hope this run continues to become the new record! :D

And so, the run of red wins comes to an end with Dennis and 50p. Ironic, though, that 50p had never been won until today!

The block of red wins from show 355 - 373 (11-Jan-07 - 1-Feb-07) - with 19 consecutive shows where the player won £1,000 or more - is the 2nd biggest run ever!

The table in the first post has now been updated!

Sheran has made it 10 red wins in a row again today.

In fact we've only had one blue won since 1p Tony, and even that was the highest blue!

Yeah, I noticed that.

Could you go away for another two weeks, please? I think you're a curse. ;)

Now updated - despite the poor luck there has been of late, there was actually an 11 show run of red wins.

I've updates the first post, as we are currently in a run of 10 shows which have all been red wins!

As Billy said...

We've had ten in a row since Mikey, if we get to Friday's show with everyone winning a red then it's the longest since the run from Tanweer to John in April - and then if we get a further red win on the Saturday show, it's the longest since Georgina to Brian in February-March!

I notice now that PJ was classed as a blue win for the purposes of this table, so it's only right that Helen's game is as well I suppose!

We've now seen 101 blue wins, but I guess three of them are debatable - Helen, PJ and Wayne. And there may be one or two others where a bonus for all the contestants in a game when they were in the wings has taken their overall winnings over £1,000!

This hasn't been updated for a while but as Daniel pointed out on the game thread, we're currently in a run of 16 consecutive red wins, all but one of them above £10k!

The run of 25 shows at the beginning is going to take some beating. Given that 17 blues came to the table in that run,
you can understand caution gaining the upper hand to cause a lot of relatively moderate wins, could it also have been
that there was less pressure then to take a Wakeyist approach?
