He can't do another comeback... surely?

Against Nadal it's going to be pretty tough... I'm just hoping he gets a set now.

Nadal has won.

Murray just wasn't good enough - too many errors - and they cost him dearly.

For the record, the difference in talent was completely noticeable anyway - well done Nadal!

That young man is just going to get better and better...the way he skinned some of his serves, hell even Federer can't do that!

And as the commentators said during the match - Nadal is playing world class tennis at the moment, and still hasn't peaked yet. He is going to easily make World Number One very soon, especially with his record on clay!

The last quarter-final had to be halted due to bad light - ah well!

At least the day finished on a high for Britain - Jamie Murray and his partner Huber knocked out the second seeds in the Mixed Doubles Quarter-Final.

Let's at least see him retain his title :D

WHAT a tiebreak that was in the men's quarter-final!

Coming back from 0-6 down to win it 8-6 is just incredible - saving SIX set points!

Well Venus is in the final, now let's see if Serena can join her.

She's just broken Zheng in the very first game of the match - it's looking good! :D

Another rain delay for the Schuettler/Clement match...6-6 in the final set, the match has already gone on for 5 hours and 5 mins...just over 20 mins short of the all-time record at Wimbledon for the longest match ever.

My predictions so far have been pretty accurate so far, I got Federer, Safin and Nadal as going through, and I said the Clement match would go the distance! Whoever wins this marathon will have to play Nadal tomorrow which would be impossible for Clement/Schuettler to win IMO.

As an aside, I was interested that Roger Federer chose to train with Chris Eaton today, good experience for Chris there.

Schuettler wins at last! Nadal will win easily tomorrow now.

NOOOO!!! Bye-bye Mr Cool Shades :(

Schuettler has had a blinder of a Wimbledon though...he's deserved the semi-final place.

That final on Saturday is going to be a belter! Venus for me! :D

For those who know who the men's doubles best are, the Bryan brothers, they've been beaten in the semi-final in four sets. A rather large shock.

And the best bit - Schuettler revealed in his interview that he had actually made other plans for the second week of Wimbledon that didn't even involve tennis!

God, I hope he at least does better than Murray did against Nadal - that said he is in his thirties... :?

Well Federer has stormed into a lead against Safin, taking the first set 6-3.

I was too busy catching the Girls Singles Semi-Final to see this sudden rise in talent in British tennis, young 14-yr old Laura Robson, win and hopefully now win at the weekend and become the first Brit to win the Girls Singles title since the 80s! :D

It was an impressive match as well!

Federer in the final, STILL yet to concede a set.

Nadal, about to join him; won the first set 6-1 against Schuettler, won the second on a tie-break, and has just broken him in the third set.

And the Williams sisters have made it to the Ladies Doubles Final

Nadal won it shortly after my last post...

So come on then - who is brave enough to back Federer to make history and score a sixth straight Wimbledon title?

And who is backing the defending women's champion to hold off her sister Serena?

And who thinks Great Britain may yet see some glory at Wimbledon this season in the Girls Singles?

I think Nadal might win the men's singles title this year.

Well Sampras has won it the most, seven times. But nobody has won it more than fives times in a row, and its THAT reason and that reason only why I'm backing Federer. At least give him his own record for his favourite tournament and a place in history. We can all tell Nadal is going to completely eclipse him in the coming years, especially the way he destroyed Federer in France last month.

But if Nadal won it, the crowd would be more happy I reckon. Still, Roger for me...give him his record! :D
