Spyker-MF1 will use Ferrari engines next year, after a deal has been finalised on Saturday morning in China.
The agreement between the Maranello squad and the Silverstone-based outfit will run for one year only, making Spyker the third team next season to use Ferrari engines, alongside one of the Red Bull teams and Ferrari themselves.
Spyker-MF1 team chief Colin Kolles told autosport.com: "We have to move forward. Obviously, for the whole Spyker group it is a very important move.
"For the moment, the deal is for 2007, and then after that we will see. The deal is just for engines, but it will be a very close collaboration."
The agreement also means that Cosworth are now effectively out of Formula One for the first time in several decades
