Least there's gonna be a meeting to discuss "events during the World Cup play-offs"

No replays sadly, but would love to hear what they have to say about it all; I agree fiercely with what Keane said...Robbie that is, not Roy ;)

Well whoever had a punt on Paul Hart being the first Premier League managerial casualty can now collect their winnings...he's been sacked!

I notice that this thread conveniently overlooked Shrewsbury's humiliation by Staines the other week...

And long may that continue! :eyes:

Chelsea lose!! Beaten on penalties after a dramatic extra time! This Carling Cup looks good.

Blackburn and Chelsea now at penalties...Blackburn were in control after Ballack had his shot saved, but Hilario saved Kalinic's shot!

BUT BLACKBURN WIN 4-3!!!

Well considering it is a two-leg semi-final, Manchester City are probably the only team capable of dumping out their Red rivals...for silverware sake I hope they manage to beat them! United won't mind slipping the League Cup as long as they win the rest, surely! :P Whereas the League Cup is only one of two possible trophies City have a realistic chance of winning!

Well done to Everton; they're through to the last 32 of the Europa League...sorry if you're a Celtic fan though! :P

Right interesting group for England for 2010... I have done some predicting and worked out that England will be placed 3rd by the time Spain become the 2010 World Champions... (on the way we face the USA, Slovenia, Algeria, Ghana, France, Brazil and Germany.)

Sounds good - a great group to say the very least...USA we have to be very careful with but apart from that it looks like a relative waddle!

We got one of the easiest groups possible - if we don't qualify, then quite frankly, we shouldn't have qualified for the World Cup in the first place.

Definitely!

The omens don't look good though after the USA claimed first bragging rights before the World Cup (Howard saving Defoe's penalty) - thank god group matches don't finish with penalties ay?
