I think they needed about half a million people to watch to break even but would that amount of extra traffic really slow a whole provider down?

Well a decent game tonight from England...it was just quite simply a very typical case of lack of motivation...it wasn't an important game, and several players have one eye on the weekend's Premier League fixtures...

...so ironically the one player who isn't plying his trade in England gets the MoM award! :P

Because Crouchy rejected a move to Steve Bruces Sunderland... The look on Fabios face after it was announced was great though.

I thought it was a brilliant debut and on its first touch of the ball, straight into the back of the net. That goal was first class.

Now does that make the Beach ball worth more than Ronaldo?

I wonder if Fabio Cappello was watching?

Phil.

Well presuming this ball is English does it have a case to be going to SA?

Comparing it to Heskey who seems a cert...

Heskey
Cost - £3.5m
Caps - 57
Minutes on pitch this season - 176
Shots this season - 1
Goals this season - 0

Beachball
Cost - £10
Caps - 0
Minutes on pitch this season - 5
Shots this season - 1
Goals this season - 1

100% record....

Yes. At that cost, we might just be able to take on the ball down here at Pompey. And god only knows we need it.

But that does strike me, Middlesborough relieving Southgate as they have. I can't really fathom why they'd decide to do that just after that win.

Perhaps they're all going mad at long last. Liverpool beach balls scoring goals, sackings of managers who've just won their side a game....it's all rather peculiar.

A few of us who were once part of the furniture, once stalwarts of the grand and extravagant, exuberant and thriving forum, have receded back into the walls, still faintly visible, still here as poignant, reminding relics of an era gone by; but most of us have vanished, forever immersed in the mists of time.

It started going mad when Sven Goran Erikkson left.

That era was great.

Gordon Strachan should be named as Boro boss...he'd be a good signing there for sure!
